Be VERY wary of this location. I had never been to this location, until I was forced to visit after finding out their employee Steven FRAUDULENTLY added a new iPhone and watch along with adding/changing various unwanted services to my account after the store had closed. After receiving a text/email about my "new purchase" I quickly logged onto my account to figure out what I purchased. Only to see the fraudulent reciept, from someone I didnt know and a location I had never been. Unfortunately, the location was closed so there was nothing I could do until the next day. I reported the fraud to Verizon and also Victra (which this location is a Victra doing business under Verizon). I also drove to the store (about an hour from my home) to figure out what was going on. The 2 employees there were obviously limited in what they could do or say. I was getting worked up with them stringing me along and telling me things I already knew were NOT true having talked to Verizon and Victra's fraud departments. They actually called the employee and his pathetic lies he told such as some "Mexican" came in and was listed on my account with an ID to make the purchase and he (the employee Steven) was being a "nice guy" and used his credit card to pay the taxes and fees because the customer only had cash (not sure why he couldn't have used cash?). I am not the least bit upset with both employees and apologized to both for getting worked up with them, especially now realizing how much of a joke the upper management team is. I know they reached out to various levels of management while I was in the store, and were obviously told to do damage control more or less. The worst part not one person from upper management has reached out to say one word, no text, email, phone call, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, etc. NOTHING! Which in my opinion is very indicative of how that store (and others) are being run and how something like this happens. I did go file a police report more so in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone else.
I had no intention of leaving this review. Unfortunately, the silence of management has...
Read morei was in this store for 5 hours! went from android to iphone. right away i was told i need to pay $39.99 to transfer data over to the new phone. when i went to the lake zurich store i was told since i have a business account the transfer fee was included. plus it’s only $29.99 at the lz store for non business accounts not $39.99 anyways. the data transfer took 5 hours! i had 2500 videos and 4500 photos. when the transfer was complete only 219 photos ended up getting transferred. the service rep used an app called move to ios. when i brought the phone to the lake zurich store they used a different verizon transfer method which took half the time. i also bought a screen protector which lasted 48 hours. i have a crack near the photo button which cuts my finger everytime i press it. long story short - this place is franchised and i will never return here again. they waste your time and effort and overcharge you. the service rep was alone, overworked and kept complaining of customers entering his store. the garbage on the main floor and bathrooms were overflowing. i love verizon but franchised stores like these need...
