UPDATE: 12/29/17 I had to call today (of course they did not call me) in regards to my delivery on 01/03/2018 of my replacement parts. Come to find out my table is now on BACK ORDER UNTIL MAY 2018 6 MONTHS AFTER!!!! To make matters worse I was asked to email there corporate office listed below and NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO ME!! WHAT a JOKE! I will be cancelling my order and filing a complaint with BBB. Hopefully this will save someone else the disappointment and headache!! NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE
I wish I could give a negative 100. Please Do not EVER purchase anything from this company!!! Below is my story. Value City White marsh has NO Value in its customers. Not to mention I was suppose to receive an additional 30 % off for my troubles but was billed for more than the actual sales price of my items. My sectional did come in but it was damaged!!! In addition, they cannot redeliver it until 01/03/2018 2 months after the fact. Purchase if you feel like being lied to cheated and left hanging.!

I came into your store on 11/19/17 to look for furniture for my first home. I was helped by the sales rep Kim Vasiliades. After spending almost 2 hours I decided to purchase a sectional,fire place and cocktail table from your company. I was told all items were in stock and would arrive for delivery 11/25/17. It was brought to my attention by Michael ( the only helpful and truthful vcf customer service rep) that the fireplace was not in stock until 02/20/2018 and the Cocktail table until 01/02/2018. At that point I was not only frustrated but very upset that I wasted 2 hours deciding on something that will not be in stock until 02/20/2018. After not being allowed to purchase the floor model. I decided to keep everything with the expectation of the sectional being delivered on 11/25/2017.
The delivery driver arrived at 10:30 a.m (out of service window 7-9) with half of a couch. I called and spoke with the C.S rep. come to find out the other half of couch was on back order until 11/28/17. Which takes us to this morning, where I received the other half ( out of Service window again) DAMAGED. I was told by the Manager that I would receive an extra 30 % off but emailed a receipt showing I will be paying 366.01 more than the original price. I pray that your company is never allowed to get over on any other young first time buyer EVER AGAIN.

My mother bought a bed and mirror set from Value City Furniture (VCF) on May 10, 2024, with delivery set for June 25th. What followed has been a series of broken promises and shocking disrespect for her as a customer:
On June 24th, the day before delivery, VCF called and said the mirror broke and would arrive by September 18th. She trusted them and agreed to the delay. Nearing September, they pushed it again to October 2nd. She was patient and agreed. October 2nd came and went with no delivery. They promised October 5th, then October 25th, but then October 11th. When the mirror finally arrived on October 11th, it was the wrong one. VCF said they’d fix it by October 22nd, but that mirror didn’t match either. On October 29th, they attempted delivery once more, and yet again, it was incorrect. After months of this, my mother understandably lost all trust in VCF. She requested a full refund and for them to take everything back. Their response? They insisted she pay some $400-$500 restocking fee for their repeated mistakes and inability to complete the order properly!
If you’re considering buying from VCF, be warned: if they say part of your order will be delivered later, cancel immediately! You’ll lose any chance of using their 7-day return policy if they delay—even if the delay is their fault. The 7-day policy should only begin once the full order is delivered correctly—not while parts of it are still missing! This is absolutely unfair, unacceptable, and deeply offensive. VCF’s treatment of their customers shows a shocking disregard for fair trade and honest business practices. After putting my mother through months of mistakes and false promises, they still have the audacity to demand extra fees. Absolutely no accountability or respect for customers. Read moreI wanted to share a recent experience with Value City Furniture. My journey started with the store manager Cheryl Monroe of the White Marsh store location . She had reached out to me by phone to indicate she had a clearance dinette set that she thought I would love to replace my current set . Keep in mind I had shared over the holiday that I had a very specific desire to replace my aging set, but looking for the perfect replacement in style and price. So getting the random call from her was a pleasant surprise and I must share she even attached a well narrated video showing me the dinette set as she described the features and benefits. I was quite impressed with the service Ms. Monroe provided . And it didn't stop there , after I received the video I partnered my husband about the pending transaction and he agreed that this dinette set checked all the boxes for our family in style, value, and price .
So I reached out to the store to discover Ms. Monroe wasn't available, but she referred Me to Tammy and Kevin , who where very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me In completing my transaction. They were able to reactivate my VC account and then Tammy shared the benefits of the service problem without being overly pushy . Just an all around pressure free great experience.
To seal the journey was the delivery. I had at least five different communications from setting up delivery to confirmation and follow- up text messages. Today was delivery day and the delivery was at 9am . The service was not only on time but quick and efficient. I must say truly impressed from start to finish with VCF.
