Update:8/18/24 I recently was back in my home town and came into the target. Much to my surprise, it was MUCH cleaner and well functioning than the previous 2 times that I came in June. There were plenty of cash registers open, self check out open, the store was well organized and overall had a much better vibe than in June. I was actually really happy that I was able to find a specific kind of milk that my son needs and this target is one of the only locations that had it in stock for the duration of my visit in town. I was incredibly thankful for that!šš¼

I came to this target recently and had very unpleasant experience. Upon walking into the store there were 2 police k9 units parked outside the front of the store. 1 AP Man standing by the self check out. I employee working the self checkout and only 2 other registers open. The self checkout was open but only 2 registers. There was a line of like 30-40 people waiting to check out. The other 2 lanes that were open probably had 8-10 people waiting in them each.
This tells me that the store itself is facing high amounts of theft if there are so many cops and so little registers open. Instead of making the shopping experience more undesirable for paying customers they need to hire more Asset Protection if they are worried about theft. The store itself was very messy. It was hard to get around the front of the store because there were so many people standing around and forming a line for the self checkout. This was at 6:30pm on a Thursday. I unfortunately had to go back to this store 2 days later and faced the same issues at the check out except this time it was around 2pm and there were also no cops present. I grew up in this area and spent many years going to this store. When I was in high-school and college, I had many fond memories coming here with friends of the weekend and doing our shopping. It's very sad to see how the store is being managed now. This experience has given me a much better appreciation for my out of state...

The self check out is now 10 items or less only which would be fine if there wasnāt only ever 1 register open. 1 register with the literal slowest employee working it thereās a line of 25 ppl waiting to check out because thereās only ONE register they are allowed to go too. There were many employees just walking around not doing anything hanging out and talking to each other, I saw 3 guys in normal attire not a uniform stocking the shelves which kind of confused me because they have 3 men stocking 1 item (prime drinks) all working together like I donāt think u need that many people helping with one thing and why werenāt they in Uniform? Also this location is kinda dirty and uncared for customers leave things all over the floor and they employees donāt clean it. We walked past an office that you could see inside of with 2 desks and computers with absolutely no one in there so I think the manager on duty wasnāt even at work. This isnāt the first time I had a bad experience shopping at this location Iād rather drive to the one in cockeysville because itās much nicer and the employees there are actually working. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe drive up service is ridiculous! You'll wait almost 30 minutes and you're the only person. Then many other cars start showing up which adds to your wait time because now the workers, instead of focusing on getting your order completed, they start working on everyone else that's on their way or just pulling up. The lack of managing priority is overwhelming. The longest I've had to wait at this location was 56 minutes. Almost an hour, for items they notified me were ready to pick up and that I could make my way to the store. It would make so much more sense to focus on orders as they arrive and to have a set time limit the workers have to abide by to get orders to customers. Not try to get a ton of orders out at one time, which has caused me to have missing items and other customers items. If they focus on 2 at a time their time management and less chance for mistakes would improve drastically. *After finishing writing this review, I have now been waiting 50 minutes, yet again!!š¤ And was just notified that all employees in the store are sheltering in place due to a tornado warning! But no notification for customers...
