&pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

Amazing experience! Me and my kids were hungry and needed to stop before our long journey home. They wanted pizza so I obliged as to make our commute that much easier. I google pizza near me and came across this place. BEST CHANCE I HAVE TAKEN IN A LONG TIME. When we walked in, we were greeted by a young man who introduced himself as Jay Michael (i hope i remember that correctly). He was so polite and so helpful. I asked my kids what they wanted and of course they couldn't decide. Jay Michael was very engaging and asked my kids what's their favorite kind of pizza because he can make it special for them. They were so amazed that someone was gonna make the pizza specifically for them, it made their day, which made mine. Needless to say we walked away with just a plain pizza with extra cheese and a pepperoni and sausage, but Jay really made the entire experience amazing. I was already a little frazzled which I think he picked up on, and he jumped right in engaging my kids. The food itself smelled amazing and everything was so fresh. The sauce was great (you guys should bottle it). But the service really put it over the top. Its people like that, that can take an average encounter to next level. Thank you so much Jay Michael...

I just moved into the area and I'm still getting acclimated with where-to-go's. Today was a nice day and I decided to surprise my husband with some pizza. After riding around for a few I found this place right next to where i needed to go for my phone. Total fate! I walk in and I'm immediately greeted by a young guy, J Michael. The smell in the restaurant was so amazing you could instantly tell everything was fresh. I walked up to him and after he asked what he could get me, I asked him what his favorite was because I wanted to try something new. I'm new to the state and I was feeling adventurous lol. He named a few which all sound good so i decided to be a little greedy and order 2. J Michael laughed and he was very friendly and personable. We chatted while he prepared my order, I told him I was new to the area, and he actually gave me a little lei of the land. It was nice and I felt like I was starting to create a life here. My fiance and I visited for takeout tonight around 10pm. While the food tasted fine, the service was the opposite. My fiance was checking out and was asked a question by the individual behind the counter. While my fiance had answered the question he thought was asked, the person behind the counter immediately snapped and very impolitely responded “and that’s not at all what i had said… you just went ahead and said screw what I had to say.” Taken aback, my fiance apologized and said he had thought the question was about his pizza, and the person behind the counter said again, very disrespectfully and confrontationally “it wasn’t, I asked about this pizza but you went ahead and ignored what I said.” My fiance has worked in customer service as a location general manager for quite some time, and handled the situation very kindly. However never have we ever been treated so rudely when all we wanted was to get pizza.
