JCPenney — Local services in White Township

Called in on Saturday before Labor Day to see hours on Labor Day. Was told by a nice, young lady 10-4:30. I've been there many times over the years and have never needed an appointment. Arrived at 12:30 and the man working the appointments said they had nothing available until 3. I told him I just got dropped off and have an hour here. He tried to talk to a few girls but no one would take me for just a trim. He seemed quite concerned and tried to accommodate but with no avail. I was told there were 4 stylists on for the day and they were all booked until 3. I told him this is a 15 minute trim, nothing more. As I was talking with him, 2 customers checked out and one of the stylists just had to stick her nose in to see what was going on. He enlightened her and she said 'everyone needs an appointment' and just walked away. He said he called his manager and she wanted to talk to me and would call tomorrow. Left my name and number and she never called. As I was sitting by the main door waiting on my ride, the 'nosey one' walked to the restroom (in my view) and then to the opposite entrance like on break. I have never been treated so poorly and will NEVER return there again! Stopped in to just grab some product at the salon and while it was close to closing time, I still had 10 minutes to grab what I need and get out. Couldn't get in the doors and was told that if I wanted to purchase anything I needed to get it quick and go to a different register inside the store because the salon was already closed. I understand wanting to get out of work early especially if there isn't any more hair service customers in the salon but the fact that I couldn't even as much as get in the door to grab hair products was ridiculous. This is why I usually order online from Ulta and why the malls are dying out. I wanted to try to support our local stores but it's hard to shop in the mall when you get off work at 5, have to get dinner and then run back in town to shop before the stores close at 7. Very disappointed when I was in the store today, I was told they had NO more $10 off coupons. Then while I checked out, another woman came up and asked for a coupon and said her husband told them to save one for her earlier, and sure enough they pulled out a coupon for her. This was so unfair. If you weren't there to begin with then you shouldn't get to hold something that apparently had a limit to how many were available. I think all the signs for this promo should come down if the store is out of coupons, dont advertise for something you dont have any left for.
