The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of the PA Food Code as evidenced by incorrect responses to food safety questions. An open employee’s beverage container and opened candy bar were observed in area, a food preparation area. Several raw animal foods were stored above ready to eat foods in the walk in cooler. Observed cases of raw chicken and bags of onions stored directly on the floor in walk in cooler area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Raw chicken was held at 51° F, on the food prep counter, rather than 41° F or below as required. Observed milk for sale beyond expiration date. –Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk in cooler, is not being date marked or labeled. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Observed meat grinders and saw blades with an accumulation of old food residue. Walk in refrigerator floor has an accumulation of raw chicken blood. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the food prep area. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the food prep area. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of rodents/insect activity. Observed several flies throughout the facility and rodent droppings. One of the best source of halal meat in the town with Desi Indian, Pakistani groceries. Friendly customer service and such a great people. Not only the price is good but freshly cooked food is very delicious, meat is very nicely cut cleaned and on time. Most importantly they are very respectful towards the customer.
