This is a fine thrift store, though you have to watch out for the occasional high priced item slipped in. The majority of what I saw was reasonably priced, better overall quality, better selection, and sorted by sizes. That last one is especially important for us plus-sized shoppers, who must otherwise wade through an ocean of S-M-L items to find anything that fits.
I read a lot of other reviews claiming the staff here are unhelpful, but I am not sure what they are expecting. Thrifting is not a department store experience. Nobody is going to wait on shoppers hand and foot when most offered items are under $5. Staff also can't be expected to be knowledgeable about the products or whether or not a certain item is available, because what they sell is random and constantly changing. They don't have an inventory database to reference.
In the case of this most recent visit, I had several interactions with the staff and was not put off by any of them. They were young and not always professional, but everyone I spoke to was polite and seemed to be in a good mood. One of the guys said something that made me laugh. They had every right to be annoyed with me honestly, because I rushed in knowing I only had an hour to shop before closing. I ignored the overhead messages and used every last second, because I was finding so many cute things. I really had to dash and snagged the last place in line before they cut off sales for the night. But everyone was smiling and chill about it.

Read moreTonight I was at Ohio thrift and they made the announcement that the dressing room was closing in 15 mins I walk over to the fitting room to try things on after she just made the announcement and a cashier argued with me and asked me what time I had and was told they were closed, I said “ you just made the announcement not even 5 mins ago, and was asked what time I had on my phone before I was allowed to go into the fitting room…. The other cashier let me in and the other said “ you’re better than me I wouldn’t have let her in” Then as I was trying my clothes on I was told, the fitting rooms are closed by another employee, then at 8:45pm when their hours say open until 9pm I was followed and rushed to the cashier, “ he said you need to go to the register now we’re closed” I told the man “ sir your store does not close for 15 more minutes “ I will walk up there then. I was rushed out before even 9 pm and they locked the doors at 8:55pm They were so rude and I spent so much money there. Definitely makes me not want to shop there ever again. Especially now with how rude they are and the extremely...
Read moreToday, April 08, 2025 me and three other friends went into the Whitehall location to shop for summer clothes and just new things to update our closets
Everything was going fine until we went to the fitting rooms. All four of us split 1, sometimes two rooms at times to let other people go too. While two of us were trying things on, we heard an employee talking to other customers about us
She not only started the conversation, she said things like “I think they’re stealing” and about how we had “too many clothes”
I’m sorry, but why is the employee of a clothing store complaining about what we picked out? As a collective the four of us spent roughly 260$ after putting things back that don’t fit
I have heard people in town complaining about the customer service and I was hoping they were wrong and tried to go today anyways. I was sadly mistaken. This was the worst customer service I have ever had. The only person who stuck up for us was a kind man in a red shirt that worked there. Thank you if...
