Shoe Dept. Encore — Local services in Whitehall

NEVER AGAIN! We shop both the Lehigh Valley Mall and Wyomissing Mall locations often. Recently my husband bought a pair of dress shoes and he was promoted and needs to expand his professional wardrobe. We went to Wyomissing locations and purchased a lair of shoes. He had thick socks on and put a foot hose on to try and get a better idea with the fit. He walked around the store and thought they would work and loved the style. We bought them! He came home and about a week and a half later went to put them on to go to work with his dress socks and walked on our hard wood floor. He then said they were too tight, took them off, and put them back in box with receipt. He just wanted to exchange and see if they had the shoe in a wide so with the holiday we found time on 12/22/18 to go to the Lehigh Valley Mall. We felt like we were trying to do something illegal and immoral. Mario the "Manager" at the store said that they will not take the shoes back because they have been worn. Are you kidding me? He never wore them! He tried them on 2 times and tried walking! He said there was a slight crease on the top of the shoe! We pulled other shoes from the shelf and they also have the same crease! People try on the shoes. The soles are what is going to tell you what someone did. On the soles of the shoes were traces of dust dirt probably from my hardwood flooring in my house, but no scuff marks as you would always get once you walk outside! I took pictures of the shoes and will not give up in this. I am lodging a complaint at the Better Business Bureau also. I called the number at the bottom of the receipt and have not received a call back as was explained to me from the person that answered my call. Oh, by the way...we put back the additional pair of shoes back that we were going to buy and you can count on me to tell everyone about this embarassing experience. Really, they were $40 shoes, not $300!!!...
