Kay Jewler's at the Lehigh Valley mall should close it's doors.
Firstly I bought a wedding and engagement set for my Fiance, keep in mind I decided to go to the retail store because it is, well retail and my Fiance is worth more to me than an outlet.
I was told what a great deal I was getting for the bands. They looked great at the store, the stones looked great. We took the engagement with us and had a guard put on, we had the wedding band sent off to get sized.
I returned to the store to request insurance paper work and while I was there I had the ring cleaned up. The engagement ring was digging into my Faince's finger and I asked if there was anything they could do, they said nothing could be done but to resize the ring.
I returned a week later to get the resized band and the insurance paperwork was not ready, so I had to wait for it to be written up.
Ok so off I go with the ring in hand. "oh by the way" the woman that looks like a hooker really needs to clean her clothing act up, she will know who she is with that skimpy dress, it's the lehigh valley mall, not 42'nd street.
Well I took my Fiance` and the ring set to the Kay in the Sands to send it off to get re sized, we then found out that the ring for one was 1/2 a size bigger than what we originally sent it out for and upon further inspection noticed that the ring set we bought was cloudy compared to what was in inventory at the outlet. I took photos to compare in the light and the retail ring even after being cleaned up looked like something you would pick up at wal-mart.
I was going to return the set to the outlet but wanted to make sure that the person was going to get the credit for his exceptional server, he did not sway my decision to use the outlet over retail and in fact said that I should go back to retail to make sure I was 100% satisfied.
I went to the retail store but my Fiance had her engagement ring on at work so I could not complete the return, the retail store gave me excuses as to why the ring was different and in the end I did not return the set to the retail store, they said to take them to the outlet. Zero "0" customer service.
I am highly disappointed in this retail store, I have heard horror stories about Kay and the only reason I kept my business with them was the outlet store. If I find out that they gave the salesman at the outlet a problem, there will be one less Kay customer beginning with me and I will ensure that social media knows this farther than this review.
Not even a single phone call from the retail store to inquire as to my dis pleasure, even though they did call the outlet before I...
Read moreIf I could give this zero stars I would. I Bought a Necklace for Mother’s Day on 5/12/18 when purchased it was immediately placed into a bag wrapped up and given as a gift on 5/13/18 only to find out when the gift was open it was just an empty box NO NECKLACE!! I called and Jennifer (the women whom I made the transaction with) told me come in and I’m thinking ok maybe they have it at the store laying around or another one they can give me so I go to the store only for her to waste my time and tell me she doesn’t have another one that and she would refund me my money and told me go to another store. I’m already frustrated wasting time and money having to come back to the store I suggested getting a different necklace that was in store it was fine as she was ringing me up I asked if I could get a discount for having to go through all this trouble she said no there’s nothing she could do about the price. So with that said I got even more upset and told her forget about the necklace I don’t even want it anymore. Not only did she lose my business but the company as a whole lost my business. I will NEVER do business at the Lehigh valley mall in Whitehall pa ever again nor will I refer any customers. Very unprofessional!...
Read moreThere were more workers than customers in the store and I still couldn't get any help. Awful customer service and rude workers. I guess they didn't see me as a "serious" customer worth helping out even though I came in with the intent on buying a pair of diamond earrings. They thought it was more important to play on their phones and wipe the counters than ask if I needed to see anything in the cases. Also, when a couple walked in AFTER me, they asked them if they needed help. They ignored me. After a while, they finally showed me two pairs of earrings I wanted to see but wouldn't let me try them on. Yet when I went to another Kay jewelers in the Lehigh Valley they let me try on the earrings, as did another jeweler in the mall. I'm not sure why this one did not let me try on anything. Then when I wanted to look at a third pair of earrings, no one came over to help me and it was back to wiping counters and playing on their phones even though I was the only customer at this point. I think they need to work on their customer service skills. I'm not going to spend large amounts of money on a serious purchase like that to buy diamonds when they're so rude...
