Update. After my last experience we wanted to see if there were any improvements so we decided to stop in and give them another try. I must say the food was better this time. We had the mussels appetizer and the halibut and everything was good . We did not try to bang bang shrimp or the pasta so unsure if that has improved but we were pleased with our entire meal. Keep up the good work.
It has been awhile since I dined at bonefish and as I remembered, it was a mid to upscale seafood restaurant . What a disappointing meal. Ordered the shrimp and scallops scampi and was shocked on what was served . The scallops were ridiculously tiny as well as the shrimp in a sauce that tasted like it came out of a package and heavy in garlic probably to fool the consumer to think it was made fresh. (pic shows the size of the miniscule scallops and the tiny shrimp next to small chopsticks.) It was completely ridiculous and unacceptable, and I felt ripped off. You would think that a restaurant that has fish in its name would take more pride in what they are preparing and serving their customers. A local diner serving the same dish would have been 10 times better in every way including the seafood, than Bonefish. This was a total waste of my time and money. Their big draw is the bang bang shrimp which is overrated as the shrimp are small and heavily battered in a sauce that tastes like it came out of a jar, and the shrimp sit on a bed of more lettuce than shrimp so you aren't paying more for the lettuce . The entire meal and experience was so disappointing , I would have felt better giving the money I spent to a homeless person than to waste it on such terribly food. I did not eat the meal and threw it out when I got home. This is a chain restaurant and the food is a clear reflection of the inferior ingredients they feel is acceptable to serve customers. Don't waste your time or money. There are much better seafood places around . Prices are high for poor quality food. The restaurant needs a total kitchen and menu...
Read moreMy wife and I have been going to this Bonefish location since October 8th 2012. We have celebrated every anniversary at this location as it is always a happy reminder of our wedding. Every year we go we rave on how great every aspect of this establishment is. Between the food and the service and atmosphere you felt like you were at a Micheline rated restaurant. Unfortunately as with many establishments covid has not been kind to this location. We have now gone three times in 2021 and each time has been worst than the last. In September we made a reservation for 6 arrived early was told we would have a short 10-15 minute wait as that table was finishing up, wait which was fine. Wound up waiting for 35 minutes and when I asked the hostess if our table was ready he responded with " Yea its been ready where have you been?" as we had been sitting in the waiting area in his eye site the whole time. We then requested a waitress and was greeted with one of the staff members yelling at that waitress because that was his table. Most recently we went again 10/8/2021, our service was great Jess was amazing. Unfortunately in an establishment like this I had come to expect a great atmosphere and was greeted with solid hits of the 70s blasting on the speakers. As far as I am concerned this is a no go, if we wanted that atmosphere I would have went to a local bar. When I asked if it could be changed I was told it was controlled by corporate. Then a matter of the food. As I stated the food here had been the gold standard, unfortunately this time around the swordfish was smothered with sauce, overpowered by cheese and very bland. The care for the dishes just was not apparent in the presentation as it had been in years past. I am well aware that this is a chain of restaurants however considering the money spent I could apply that to a much better atmosphere and overall experience for just a...
Read more12/27/21 at 6:30pm I took my family out to dinner for the holidays to Bonefish Grill at the Lehigh Valley Mall. Service was pleasant but my mother's entrée was incorrect when it arrived. My lobster was the smallest proportioned lobster I have ever been served. My steak was supposed to be 7 ounces it was the size of 3 small beef medallions. My meal was lukewarm upon arrival. Market prices don't warrant the entrées temperature or condition. The entire dinner bill was 140+dollars. We didn't get the satisfaction or sustenance from the dinner. The manager neither offered or corrected my problems. I will be contacting corporate management. When I originally made the reservation for this horrible experience they didn't record it on their reservation list. Luckily I called later that day to verify the reservation was made which rectified that problem. Thinking about it though I could have avoided all of this if the reservation would have been ignored like it originally was ignored. I would have rated this visit a zero but it wasn't possible here. My original review was lost or deleted. I will continue to post this review every time I see it has been deleted or buried.
I'm technically editing this review because I couldn't add a follow up review to the one above because Google says I already reviewed Bonefish Grill. I'm doing this because the Bonefish Grill said they would like to follow up with me about my experience at their restaurant. I followed up with the franchise on their website as directed but it is now February 9, 2022 and I still haven't received a response from the Bonefish Grill. I'm coming to the realization that they really don't care about customer service only their impression to the public on...
