We purchased a a couch in January of 2024. In March/April of 2024 our recliner cable frayed and broke. I had advised the them right after we had picked the couch up and put it together at our house that it appeared that the cable was really hard to pull. We contacted bob mills wichita they told us we needed to file this under the separate insurance that we had purchased along with the couch. When we did so the insurance stated this was a warranty issue not a insurance issue. After arguing back and forth we were finally told that the cable was on order from the manufacturer that the part was on back order and that it would be 4 months before we could get the cable replaced.
Please note that we at that point had the couch for approximately 3-4 months. After waiting 6 weeks for the part and still having a useless couch. I looked on Amazon and found a two cable set with the exact part number for 12.00 and would be at our home in kingman by the next day. I changed the cable at my own expense. And had a working couch once again that was until a month late.
When the second reclining part of the couch bats underneath the chair became worked and would not close the recliner anymore. After contacting Bob Mills once again and getting the run around about if it's a warranty claim or an insurance claim. About a week later a tech showed up at our house and stated hey that's a major problem and that ideally the entire end piece should be replaced. But he said they won't just do that they will replace the mechanism and have a tech come out and service it instead. Once again keep in mind we had at this point only had the couch for approximately 10-1/2 and 11 months at this point.
The tech came out and ordered the pieces to repair the other recliner end. We are still to this day waiting to receive or hear of the tech receiving the parts to repair our couch. The last update as of today Feb 13th 2025 was that they still do not have information on when the parts are available.
Meanwhile our couch has damaged our original wood floors in our 1920 colonial home.
All I can say is I would not and will advise everyone I know to never purchase any product from Bob Mills. The last couch we had purchased was from Hortons in Wichita and that couch survived 4 kids and lasted almost 20 years before we decided we needed more sitting space in our home. All I can say is pay the extra money which really is not any more than we spent at Bob mills for the cheap quality couch that they claimed was high quality and made of real wood.
To also add in a addition to all the other problems we have had with this couch we now have a cushion side that now has fallen into the corner of the couch and makes it very difficult to sit on.
I feel that Bob Mills should definitely step up their game and replace theis couch at this point. But if not I will be more than happy to advise no one to purchase their low quality furniture.
We will be replacing this couch but it definitely will not be with Bob Mills.

Read morePurchased a new mattress, the signature Aireloom, this is not a cheap mattress by any shot, I will not say the amount but too many thousands to not be able to sleep on it. We of course were so excited and attempted to sleep on the mattress, which lasted 3 nights, by the 4th night my husband, a surgeon, who needs his rest was to uncomfortable to sleep and unable to get rest for 3 nights moved to one of the kids rooms so he could actually get some rest! I gave it a shot for 2 more nights by myself and it was awful. I had to sleep sideways in the bed, still tossing and turning and couldn’t lay on my stomach because my head and feet were higher than my mid section as it sank. I’m 5 ft and 140 nothing that should create enough pressure to feel a huge bow in the bed. The bed feels like it’s 20 years old and someone 600lbs plus was sleeping in the middle of it and never moved. My husband and I were falling into each other if we got close and if we went to the edge of the bed we had to fight to stay level and not roll into this monstrous dip and one another. We had to move the guest room mattress to our bed , I slept in it for 3 nights and all my pains and muscle tightness disappeared. Just for evaluation I put the Bob Mills mattress back on and the other mattress on-top . No joke the mattress on top began to sink in the middle, when it was firm and comfortable by its self. This is the worst experience I have ever had , for the amount of money paid, there is NO! reason we should be uncomfortable and have issues from day one. I was then told by the delivery personnel as the delivered our couch today, that Bob Mills is notorious for sending out mattress that have been returned by others and I need to be sure ask for a bed in the box and not in a plastic cover as ours came. They also said they have had numerous mattresses they have picked up that people complained about the same issues! Read moreWhen you walk in the store you will be greated by some of the best people to work with. They are very knowledgeable and represent their products very well. The furniture is well made and easy to envision in your home. HOWEVER, if you have an issue watch out. We were told everything was in-stock at their warehouse across the street when we ordered (minus one item that the immediately pulled from the floor fot us). Went to pick up a couple weeks later and they did not have one of the items any longer and would take a couple weeks for it to arrive. Mind you this was in-stock when we ordered it. When the table finally came in a few weeks later, it was damaged and they had to order another one. After a few days we were told that the table will now not be available for a couple of months!!!! All of this could have been avoided if they wouldn't have sold the table we purchased out from under us!!!! Thsi itself leaves a bad taste in your mouth but there is more. The reclining loveseat we ordered had a button broke and we were told to call the company and put in a ticket. Again, super slow with responses and didn't get anywhere. Ended up talkinv to our sales lady and management directly at store who was able to help A LOT! They informed us that we could exchange it since it was broken from the beginning. However, they did not have any in stock nor saw when more would arrive. We would have to have a technician come out but they were in teaining and would be a couple weeks. The main office that deals with the tickets messed up on our scheduled time and again the sales lady helped us. The technician ended up contacting us directly and we only went through him on appointment times. The technician was great! Such a shame for a company to have such a great product but such broken processes. We are now getting a refund on the table that they sold from under us as they would not give us the one off the floor and we refused to wait the two more months.
