Rhatigan Student Center — Local services in Wichita

I held my mother's memorial service here in the Santa Fe Trail Room, and I was so impressed with everyone I worked with in the Events Services and Media Services groups, as well as the cleanliness, complete modernity and convenience of the facility. I booked the Santa Fe Trail Room and couldn't have been more delighted, as the AV equipment and provided connections were excellent. The room's beautiful 9-screen OLED display rendered the presentation perfectly. Sound quality was very high and the video services team did an excellent job of videography.

Pricing was competitive and I appreciated the fact that it was easy to locate the building on the campus, parking was also easy and very close, and that attendees could use either the garage (paid) or the free parking lot, both of which are next to the building. Events Services Staff provided me with wording to aid guests in finding the Center and the room.

I have been in this student center many times and it has many positive elements as well as some areas for improvement.

On the positive side, it is generally clean and comfortable. It has a variety of dining venues, and the one that is a hidden gem is in the basement by the bowling alley.

The building probably has many additions and so it is a bit of a challenge sometimes to navigate through it and between floors. Fortunately, I am not disabled.

It's important to note that the building is open to the public and there is no charge for admission; so, wishing for improvements without having to pay for them directly is...

Call me biased or whatever. Once a shocker always a shocker. The Rhatigan center of the past has been completely renovated and meets all modern college campus food/recreation checklist. Love the way our merchant store shows off the goodies and hoodies. More diverse and muti cuisine food places for students to try out. More seating and clever use of spaces to showcase art in the center. Love every aspect of this lovely students hangout spot. Don't forgot to try the bowling alley in the ground floor.
