The cardio equipment and track encircle the free weights and weight machines on the second floor, and there are two basketball courts and locker rooms below. It’s a prime place for study/work breaks.

This is BY FAR my favorite YMCA in Wichita. I really like the openess of everything as opposed to some gyms that feel a bit claustrophobic with alot of equipment in one area. I go early mornings usually and I never have a problem with getting to machines I wanna use. Staff is nice and maintain the place pretty well.

Visited WSU facility 3/27/2025, 0 handicap parking spaces in the front row across from the front door, the 2 ' reserved' spaces are for specific people, directly opposite (behind) the reserved spaces are 2 handicap specific parking spaces...1 was occupied by a beautiful white and black, very new and shiny BMW without a handicap plate or hang tag. The only other handicap spots are on the south side of the building, nowhere close to the front door. On Saturday March 22,2025 the Woodlawn YMCA location 4 out of the 5 cars parked in handicap spaces did not have handicap designated license plates or handicap hang tags... the staff on duty stated members who DO NOT have a handicap plate or hang tag frequently park illegally...if someone reports the license plate number a staff member will announce that plate number over the intercom and usually the offending member will move his or her car. This is totally unacceptable! If a person is parking illegally that person should have their membership revoked and not be allowed to ever be a member of the YMCA ever again! Next time I will...

I I’m a ymca member, recently I got a ticket for parking at the building. The two hour signs are kinda hidden. I did not see the two hour limit. How do Wsu police keep time. I believe they racially profile my car. People out there don’t go to the ymca on Wsu campus because they are so hard up for money they will issue everyone a ticket for the slightest infraction. If you are a member you pay money to the ymca there should be some exceptions. But being hard up for money make for a bad university. Please do not visit this ymca...

Manager, Ian claims the people from the basketball court steal anything that's not locked down and consequently ALL of the studios are locked preventing access to all members unless there is a class in session. I see the ladies now having to bring their yoga mats and stretch in the hallways outside of the studio...so wrong. Can the members steal the floor? No other YMCA has...
