I decided to write this review because of the level of unprofessionalism and what I perceived as, unethical business practices I received from Abby. I rented the Confetti Affairs event venue for my baby shower on November 9th. During my first interaction and conversation with Abby about signing the contract and my desired for the event, she was very responsive and appeared to be capable of getting the job done. I provided her with the vision I wanted for the shower and she reassured me it could be done. I signed the contract and paid her half of the money for the event. I selected the gold package option and paid extra for her to do some additional decorations. While her gold package said she would provide a variety of decoration, she informed me that the package only allows for one decoration. We agreed that she would put out the tables, chairs, and table covers and I was required to do the center pieces. I wanted two arches (one for the front of the room and one for the photo backdrop area), so I paid her the additional cost to do so. A month prior to the event, I texted Abbey to schedule a meeting to finalize the arrangements for the event. It took her one week to respond to my message. We agreed on a meeting day and she canceled it because she had something personal to deal with. We scheduled another meeting and she text a day before meeting to inform me she had an emergency and had to cancel the meeting once more. So, I informed her that I will delay paying the other half of the cost until we finalize the plans for the event. She scheduled the meeting. We met and I reminded her of the visit I wanted for the event. I followed up after the meeting by sending her the pictures again. To my surprise, on the day of the event when I arrived, she did the tables, chairs, and table covers, along with two balloon arches. However, the arches were made up of just balloons and no aesthetics (flowers, pampas grass, no wording or backdrop for the main arch etc.). I had provided her with a backdrop for the photo backdrop area, so that was included. I had to add some boxes to create some more aesthetic to the area. Furthermore, I told her I wanted the venue form 12pm-4pm. At 3:45pm, two men came in while we were still having the event to ask if we were leaving. I saw the time and told them we were wrapping up soon. At 3:58pm, she texted to ask if I was leaving, which I didn’t see. A little while later she entered and ask if front of all my guests, if I was leaving. I told her we were wrapping up and she told me she had another event at 6pm. I told her, I thought you didn’t have an event until 8pm, she said no 6pm. So, I told everyone they could come back to my home. From there, we started cleaning up and she and the team of men she had started to pull down the arches and pop the balloons. She never asked if I wanted the balloons or anything. It was so disgusting, it upset some of my guests that were there. We cleaned up and left. The next day I sent her a message to inform her that I was unsatisfactory with the service she provided. As of today, I have not received a response from Abby. My conclusion is, she doesn’t care about creating a memorable event for people, all she cares about is the money. Furthermore, she is either inept or dishonest with the services she is capable of providing for her clients. The first two pictures (with the flowers, leaves, and pampas grass aesthetics) are the ones I requested and the last two pictures (with just the balloons) are the ones Abby created. It looked as though she put together $30 worth of balloons from SHEIN. I had to provide the backdrop and the boxes to add some aesthetics to what she created While I had an amazing time with my family and friends. Abby blemished the lasting memory I wanted to create for my first pregnancy. Read moreAbby was very very responsive when we were first booking my daughters event in June 2023. Unfortunately we had to cancel due to some last minute scheduling issues. Since we had paid for the event in full she gave us a credit to reschedule the event at our convenience. We rescheduled via message for June 14 2024 and had agreed on the date. I reached out a few weeks before the event and I was completely ghosted in messages and voice mails left. Today is the 14th and still no calls back or responses to my messages. Disappointing since my daughter saved up her birthday money to pay for the end of school year event from last year. I've requested a refund via Venmo at this point and still no response.

She was very accessible to us and easy to get ahold of. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was looking for when reaching out to Abbey, but she was able to come up with an amazing idea and plan for what would make the party pop. She provided some ideas and inspiration, and then she was able to make that come to life in her beautiful balloon arch.
