Just moved to Ohio from Las Vegas, looking for a “creative” and friendly regular place. Called here to make an appointment 2 hours before. Woman who was supposed to do my nails was rude and didn’t smile once, I guess because appointment times were confused and off by 30 mins. She had the guy do my nails and quickly came over and told me all prices and how much more everything would cost and if I’m paying cash or credit. She could tell I was irritated with her questions and attitude so she added, “it’s store policy to tell you pricing”. Even though it’s plastered on every wall and desk I’m sitting at. Except for the fact that more than 2 colors is $4 extra. Ok? The guy had little to no conversation or personality. Most talking was to tell me how every nail salon is different and why he didn’t want to give me his input on questions I was asking him about my nails. Simple “What do you think?” Questions. So annoying. All I would get was “I don’t know it’s your nails, I don’t want to say something and you don’t like it so you make me do it all over”. We had just barely started. I hadn’t made any changes. Just asked what color he thought would look better. I asked what’s special about the +$6 polishes, he said they are just better polish and last longer, but aren’t gel. I asked to see one, he acted like I was going to steal it and didn’t even want to let me hold it. Didn’t even like the color. The lady came back asking me to pay. Again, store policy. Whatever. She just wasn’t friendly. Didn’t smile once. The little quiet lady was the only friendly one. Helping me wash my hands just because she happened to be standing there. Real customer service. The nails are ok. A little too much top coat on a couple nails causing rippling in the corners. Even shape. Just not pleasant experience. Didn’t feel welcome or appreciated, even though Jesus was smiling at me from every corner. Still looking for a new...
Read moreBlack people are treated very differently than other customers. 1. There was a request for me to pay prior to the service. Every white person paid at the end. 2. Upon arrival there was no greeting. Instead the question was posed. What you want? When white people entered there was suddenly an awareness of pleasantries. Including "Good Morning" and "How are You - How are your family." I was met with, "I don't feel like talking" however with the two white customers there was an abundance of conversation. 3. Telling me the price four times is unnecessary. There is an assumption of unaffordability that is condescending. This did not translate to how other customers that were white received the prices for their services. 4.Getting up while doing my service to get up and greet a white customer, and ask.her what colors she would like on her nails is rude, dismissive and just plain poor service etiquette. 5. The last and most blatantly rude are when you discuss my inquiries on your treatment with another customer while I am still there. I addressed it in the moment and the conversation paused. 6. Your tone, rudeness and argumentative nature are unprofessional and exhibit poor customer service.
The issues of racism are not ones that I make lightly, nor do they come from a place of feeling slighted by the order you take customers in. You give preferential treatment to white customers. And the reviews repeat it over and over again. Instead of rationalizing the behaviors take some time to reflect on the truth that is being told to you. Black customers deserve equal treatment or they should take their...
Read moreI went here Monday June 22, 2020. Today is june 24, 2020. I paid $56.71 for a full set. While the man was doing my nails I noticed he was putting a very small amount of acrylic on my nails. I basically begged him to add a thicker coat. I've never seen acrylic look as thin as these. He insisted that they were thick enough. I told him not to polish them because I figured something was wrong with his skills and didnt wanna do too much damage. I also didn't want to cause a scene. I paid and left. The very next day my nail goes flying off just from picking up a cup at work. I go back Wednesday (today) for a repair and another layer of acrylic so that all my other nails wont go popping off due to not having enough acrylic on them. He tells me I will need to pay 10 more dollars for more acrylic, tells me It's my fault my nail broke not his. This place is the worse nail salon I've ever been to. The level of unprofessionalism is sickening. Not to mention the rude woman who tried to curse me out on the phone when I asked how long the wait would be. Please save yourself the hassle and stay away from this shop. I think everyone who works there should take some more classes on how to do nails and how to treat customers. YOU ACTUALLY GET ZERO STARS. I SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED THE HUNDREDS OF BAD REVIEWS. They were correct you are rude af and unprofessional.
Ps: I never wanted a color change, I wanted a real full set with acrylic on my whole nail not half of it...
