Nationalities Lounge — Restaurant in Willoughby Hills

My co-work Mr. H had his retirement party this past Sat. I love the atmosphere and the food was delicious. I really fancied those meat balls! Everything was going well. The barmaids got their tip included with every order during our gathering. So, the barmaids were attentive to everyone.

Heres the change. When the our gathering ended we were still parting buying drinks and things. Now, the tip was not included. The barmaids were quick to either service their regulars or the men. It became very difficult to buy a drinks for me and my female friends. The placed started to get busier and the DJ came in throwing down DJ Nomatic!!! Thats when we kept trying to get their attention and buy drinks from the main three barmaids. They would tell me or my friends wait aminute or just ignore us. Then the one lady was not listen well and messed up the orders and had to re-ring my friends. I just stopped buying drinks at that point. All my male friends and co-workers got their drink orders put in quickly just not the females. This almost ruined my night out because I waited about 45 mins. to get a drink. What they did not know is we all were thinking about coming back because of the vibe. Now, not so much! If can not get services sorry I cant come back. I dont pay for bad service on purpose! It started out good then went bad. But, that DJ kept the party going and was sending out shout outs to the barmaids workng hard......just not for my friends and I. Tips could have been greater for them if our service was from them....

I just left Nationalities a few minutes ago and I’m HIGHLY disappointed in the customer service from one of the bartenders. First, the bartender was rude when I asked her what drink she was making and she never acknowledged me after sitting at the bar for about 20+ minutes after sitting down. Then, the bartender throws something in this bucket which caused water to splash on me. I asked another bartender (Celly) who was phenomenal if her friend/bartender was ok because her attitude was awful. Ultimately Celly and I believe the owner had a much more positive vibe than the manager who had thee worst customer service. I won’t be going back here because of the two times I went, the rude bartender was there. Not to me to mention, after communicating what happened to the owner, the rude bartender continues to say inappropriate comments aloud because she didn’t like that I informed her co-workers of her unprofessionalism. If I knew her name I would identify the rude bartender, but I think you get my point. It’s sad our own people don’t understand what true customer is and how it should be conducted with actions. First let me say the food was great!

Unfortunately the rest of my experience didn’t match my experience with food. My mom, sister and I arrived at 4pm. There was only one person working the bar and restaurant. There was a group of people celebrating what I think was a bday. As their party grew, out serviced suffered. Our drinks were slow to come out. My sisters food came out by 4:30, however my mom’s and my food came out almost 45 mins later. The waitress was awesome, she just needed help!!Then after waiting 45 mins after my sister’s food arrived, we received our meals. We paid for our meals separately, but we were told an automatic 17% gratuity was added for any purchase of $20 or more…after all of the delays.

Just not the experience that I hoped to receive after seeing them on Fox8 Cleveland, and reading reviews. Dont think I will...
