Two stars because the young hostess was pleasant and eagerly offered to make a special order, which was General Tao's tofu. Sadly the meal was one of the worst in my life. They used a Styrofoam box and poured hot sauce over the already hot food and melted the plastic everywhere it touched. A miracle the box didn't leak. My plan was to eat some then take the rest home but the box was stapled shut over the clasp which l destroyed on opening. Side was cooked but refrigerated - broccoli and 2 cute square slices of carrots. Vegetable egg roll was good and cooked perfectly. I paid $1.50 extra for a combo so l got the egg roll and half the rice, which was white. They did a good job breading and frying the tofu. Maybe it was my imagination but l was tasting the box for hours and it seemed like tiny pieces of it were sticking to my teeth. I was pretty hungry so instead of marching back in immediately l ate the egg roll and a few pieces of tofu then took it back in. The hostess was very concerned but didn't know what to do. She explained the melted box with, "The sauce was very hot," and offered, "l can put it in a new box for you." I declined the new box. I left it and asked her to show it to the cook which she said she would. No offer of a new meal or a refund but l didn't ask either because l ate some of it and didn't want the aggravation at the time. They seem like nice people l hope they get their...
Read moreDrove from Mentor to dine in on a Monday during dinner hour. The Host/server was very nice and water refilled promptly. We were the only diners when we arrived so we were a little concerned about our choice. One other customer came in a bit later to dine in and there was a Door Dash pick up. Definitely not busy at 6:30 but we don't know why, the food was top notch!!
I ordered the Yu Hsiang Shrimp, a dish I'd never heard of before. The shrimp were large, plentiful and perfectly cooked. The sauce was flavorful, the vegetables were also very nice. If ordering online you can choose a spice level and I would definitely select medium if given the choice because there was no kick to it which I think would have made it perfect. The won ton soup and egg roll were very good. Child ordered beef lo mein, an enormous portion and she ate 3/4 of it including every piece of beef. Declared it to be her favorite place for Chinese food.
Everything looked very clean, some Chinese decor but the soft rock cover songs playing and lack of other customers made it a...
Read moreThe counter area near the dining area has faint mildew smell - that should have been a tip off not to pick up the order. I had placed a take out order for shrimp and broccoli and four happiness and was told 15-20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later. As soon as I arrived she asked me to pay. Since there were no orders at the counter, I told her that I'd pay when the food was at the counter. She went to the back, I assume to pickup the order but didn't come back for about 7 minutes. When I looked though a window in the kitchen, she was preparing the food - should have left then. When she came out hastily with the order and I checked the contents of one I noticed the Shrimp and broccoli was actually shrimp with various vegables (25% broccoli). I told her that I thought it was the wrong order - she told me "that's how we make it." She said don't take it if you don't want it how we.make it - I should have listened to her and left the food there. The vegetables were mushy and the sauce so salty that it was inedible. I threw it away. Don't order...
