I went in today 4/1 to make a hair appointment for next week. The girl at the front desk asked me to write down my name (first and last) with my phone number on a post it, which I did. After I made my appointment I noticed she left the post it on the top of the computer. I asked her for the post it I wrote on so I could take it home and shred it. I was told “no, this post is mine and it’s my work.” As she’s saying this she’s takes the post it with my info and puts it in the garbage. I ask for a manger but am told I need to move front the desk to check in the woman behind me. So I move and wait for the manger who a workers name said was Jeff but then he said his name was JJ. I told him I just wanted the post it out of the garbage and exactly what happened. He says he’s not understanding this after two separate times. Then he raises his voice I did ask him not to raise his voice. At which point he begins screaming irately so I left without the paper. Also the girl when I was scheduling the appointment told me to call to double check and call the day of since many students call out. And apparently today the day Jeff, JJ, or Mr. JJ is working many students call out. I wonder why the students are calling out in droves on Saturday my best guess is Jeff, JJ, or Mr. JJ since he referred to himself 3 separate ways. If you are thinking about getting a hair appointment run for the hills. If you are thinking about actually giving your money to this place as a cosmetology school think about if you want to be dehumanized and treated awfully then by all means give this place...
Read moreJust drove all the way down to get a massage from a student in the middle of my only day off only to be told "sorry, students can't massage pregnant women." I understand this is their student policy only NOW, but it was only after being told congrats by the receptionist, led to the massage room, and discussing my massage with the student. I wasn't told anything until the supervisor knocked on the door as I was getting undressed. The supervisor also told I shouldn't be getting a massage until the 3rd trimester anyway! This is my second pregnancy and I told her I have gotten them routinely during my first pregnancy and she then scolded me saying, "well, you SHOULDN'T have" in a very snotty manner. The reason I came in the 1st place was to relieve stress and here this lady is scolding me like a child making me even more stressed. She then told me I shouldn't have told them I was pregnant! She said I should have lied and they still would've done the massage. Unbelievable!!
Update: only after reading the owner response I find out even their licensed therapist don't do pregnancy massages? Funny since the supervisor offered to reschedule me with one of their licensed therapist on another day even after telling me I shouldn't get a prenatal massage! It shows you the lack of overall unprofessionalism they have. Perhaps they need to let their entire staff know about this policy. Glad to take my business to Miller Motte where they FULLY train their students and staff in all areas of massage and have their...
Read moreIm not exactly sure where to begin, but I have always been so happy with my hair once I was leaving the salon. In March, I went to get just a trim and I had an appointment with Meghan and she took such good care of me! I have very long hair and I hate cutting it and she could tell I was anxious and helped calm me and made me feel better about cutting it off (it was a good few inches since I had put "trimming" it off for while). She used the opportunity to teach me how to take better care of my hair and was able to answer all my questions. Because of this, I came back to her to get my hair colored for the first time, since we talked about it as well in March and she told me about demi/semi colors. Came this past weekend to get a demi color and she did fantastic and I absolutely LOVE how it came out!! She was also constantly checking up on me and hyping up the hair which made the process seem a lot more calming but then exciting. I will always be going back to Meghan, and following her wherever she goes after she is done at the school. ps. if you make an appointment with her online it's Megan, and I highly recommend her. Besides Meghan, the receptionist and other teachers and students were amazing, the environment was great, and I felt well taken care of. There is a sense of professionalism but also fun which I personally can appreciate.
edit: I will say the lighting in the salon doesn't do the hair difference justice, in more natural lighting it's a rich, dark brown, which was exactly what I...
