Went to Reeds today and was greeted by a sweet new employee, Veronica. She said hello and asked immediately how she could help. I explained the reason for my visit and she said she was new to the position and was learning to navigate her new job that she would ask someone who could better help me. I appreciated her honesty and that she was super kind! I shared with her mine and my husbands love for Reeds and that we had purchased our wedding sets from there. She asked if we would like a ring cleaning while we waited, and I couldn’t say no. Even though she’s new, she helped writhing her limits! I know that as she learns the ropes and gains experience she’s is going to be a fabulous asset to the company! We also had the great opportunity to chat and be entertained by Angel while waiting. Her kind and bubbly personality and conversation made the wait feel like 5 mins! Bob, the gold specialist, finally was able to help us with our appraisal and was so patient and informative throughout the process. My fiancé got me a beautiful necklace from Reed’s for Christmas, and somehow I got a small knot in the chain and came in today to ask how to fix it. Janet helped me and jumped right in, fixing it quickly AND cleaned it up a bit for me since I’m inexperienced with fine jewelry. She cleaned my engagement ring as well, and even helped educate me on the stones and their hardness and how that comes into play with the durability of jewelry. I was interested in looking at potential “replacement” rings and she immediately found THE BEST ring in the store for me. I mean it was AMAZING. After talking for just a few minutes she knew exactly what I wanted and needed, she could not have been more right! I was in awe! Janet absolutely made my day. Every experience I’ve had in this particular location has been wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They all seem to work quite well together and it almost has a family type vibe, which you wouldn’t expect for a big company like this. My family has known and trusted Reeds' (Independence Mall location) manager, Bob, for many years. He has often been the SOLE reason we've continued to patronize this store. His customer service, and interpersonal skills in general, are unparalleled. The business can be packed full with Valentine's Day shoppers, but Bob still takes the time and effort to treat each customer as if he/she is the ONLY person in the building. He knowledgeably & patiently answers each and every question, no matter how SEEMINGLY ridiculous; (I should know, as I've asked EVERY question under the sun!). Bob is professional & courteous to a fault and, most importantly, is a gem/jewelry EXPERT. His work ethic is apparently catching bc it's thankfully infected most of his staff too. Therefore, if you shop on one of Bob's days off - NO WORRIES, because his team learned from the best! JUNE 2022 UPDATE: Reeds is NOT closed!!
