Let's face it, car shopping can be a pain in the butt.
Kinda like going to the dentist. Sure, you gotta do it every once in a while, but you'd still rather do almost anything else because it's not your fave thing to do.
Well, unless you have a place like Cornerstone Mitsubishi... it out shined all of my expectations.
John L... put me and my wife into a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in silver color and it looks sharp.
Right when I talked to John, I felt at home and was put at ease.
Being from Maine, I wasn't expecting to go to Mass for a vehicle, but it turned out to be WELL worth it.
The Mitsubishi dealership that was near me in South Portland Maine was no longer selling cars, just servicing them.
Since I wanted a Mitsubishi and an Outlander because I thought they looked sharp and really fit my budget...
I did some research and found Cornerstone in Wilmington Mass that was really well reviewed.
I made the drive down, took a test drive, signed the paperwork and drove the Outlander back, same day.
It rides smooth, the all wheel drive will come in handy in the Maine winters, and I couldn't be more impressed with how well I was treated at Cornerstone.
I usually don't recommend many car dealerships.
Again, I'd rather spend my time doing more FUN stuff... but when you gotta get a new ride, you gotta get a new ride.
That, and I've had a few bad experiences in the past at car dealerships... always feeling I was being taken for a ride (and not the kind of ride I want)
Well, I'm SO glad I took the time to research and find John L. at Cornerstone, and even happier I took the time to get my 2018 Outlander Sport from them.
If you're in the market for a very affordable all wheel drive SUV that looks very sharp, stop by Cornerstone Mitsubishi and see John L.
You won't be disappointed! I love my silver ride, it looks...

I still don't understand why the Outlander PHEV gets such mediocre press coverage. My sister in has a RAV 4 PHEV. I've ridden in it. It's nice enough, but frankly I don't see why it seems to get such better coverage than the Outlander. I really don't understand why this is.
PHEV is the best fit for my usage, and the drivetrain in the Outlander PHEV is far and away the best and most sophisticated execution of a PHEV out there.
The SEL Touring package puts the fit and finish at the top of the range next to Audi, and way better than the others listed above.
These should be flying out of the showrooms in the current market conditions. I don't understand why they're such a well kept secret.
l'd have overlooked the brand entirely had I not gotten an Outlander in an Avis rental a few years ago. Even though it was the prior version, and yes the performance and handling were so-so, I liked the understated simplicity of the layou, and the simple, uncluttered dash. Also the interior and exterior dimensions were just right for my taste, as was the layout.
Something in that Avis rental Outlander stuck with me over the years and after all the months of research, I came back to where I started.
24 month update: I almost never buy gas. The car started running the engine to burn off the stale gasoline since I hadn't bought fuel in 3 months My trips are all local. EV mode and single pedal are definitely the way to go!
But plan to invest some time to understand everything. It will make for more engaging and satisfying driving. Worth the effort. You can just drive it if you want, but why not enjoy the superior engineering ?
It is a very sophisticated and well built vehicle. Not a single issue after 13,000 miles. Would definitely buy the same vehicle again...
Read moreWill not be returning to cornerstone. So dissatisfied, I dropped off my vehicle to have it serviced because it wouldn’t start. They ran a diagnostic on it for well over a few days….. It had been days with no one even checking in to let us know it was being looked at. Every single time over the duration of the 2 weeks my car was there, I had to call to get an update on the vehicle. It was during the week of Christmas, it’s the simple fact no one reached out. I would’ve been completely understanding if they just called to let us know they were busy. Instead it just kept getting put off. Then I was given two alternatives in repairing the vehicle and was told they needed to order a part. Here’s the kicker I was specifically told we would NOT have to pay for the part if the repair didn’t work, which it didn’t. Looking over the bill what did I get charged for a part that I was promised I wouldn’t be charged for. Meanwhile I had asked to have the sales Dept.look over the car to give us a valuation if it had any at all. We were looking to use it as a trade in if possible and made it pretty clear we were interested in purchasing a car from them. We didn’t want to spend anymore money fixing the old car. It was there for 2WEEKS not one person from sales reached out. All and All I’m glad we didn’t purchase a car from this company. Horrible, complete lack of...
