I wish I could give this place 10 stars! My brothers and I just hosted our parent's 50th Anniversary party here last weekend. It was perfect!! The function room was beautiful, the food was superb and the service was top notch. My brothers and I went to the restaurant a couple of weeks before the function to taste some food. It was amazing! For our three entrees we landed on Eggplant, shrimp scampi and chicken balsamico, the latter not being on the function menu but we liked it so much we asked for it and they accommodated us. I was afraid that the food at the function would not hold up to the restaurant quality. It did!! I had so many people mention to me how good the food was. As for the service, let's just say it was on par with the food: excellent!! Margie is the function coordinator and she was so accessible to me leading up to the party, was very responsive and helpful in making decisions. And last, but certainly not least, what attracted me to this venue in the first place was their prices. Their prices couldn't be more reasonable for what we received in return. I couldn't be more pleased with the event and my thanks to Margie and Kimberly who made it an amazing night to remember! ...
Read moreAlways solid and sometimes great. Good service and you can see that management is very involved. Considering how much food prices have increased, their prices are fairly stable and reasonable. Our baked scallops this time seemed to be a bit short on scallops and long on bread crumbs compared to what I remember in the past but it could have just been random distribution bad luck. It is worth highlighting that almost every time I have been there the wait staff has been very pleasant and helpful. This is a large step up from most local chains like the 99 which is a total roll of the dice. Pizza is a very personal preference but I really enjoy theirs. Their desert menu is somewhat limited and uninspired but these days that is often the case even at more expensive restaurants. They have a history of being involved in the local Wilmington community and it is hard not to give them some extra credit for that. Wilmington does not have a great restaurant scene compared to basically every adjacent town (except Tewkesbury which is also bad) but they are easily at the top...
Read moreI went in to check out this restaurant for a function I am planning. My fiancée and I first stopped to have a drink at the bar. When I told the bartender Bil (all of 5' tall - little man with Nepolean complex) he made my drink incorrectly, he went ballistic, told me I'm sure you would make it better and then called me profanities and told me to get the f-out! Of course my fiancé had already went to seek out the manager at the first insult from Bill and he wasn't around when he used profanities or it wouldn't have ended well for LITTLE BILLY BOY - none the less, I would never step foot in that place ever again!!!
Just got a call from the owner who says he doesn't believe me!!! I asked him if he had a video footage in the area I was in and he said yes. I told him to watch the video and then he can call me for the apology!!!
Rude people!! Whatever happened to the customer is always right?! Which I was 100% in this instant!!!
