I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Bumble Bee Soaps in Winona, MN yesterday, and I am still raving about my purchases! I picked up three items for a total of $37.15 (including tax), which I found incredibly reasonable given the exceptional quality and generous amount of product I received.

As a self-proclaimed Burt's Bees chapstick addict, I'm always on the lookout for a good lip balm, and Bumble Bee Soaps' offering did not disappoint! The proprietor mentioned the wax is locally sourced, which is fantastic, and I found the lip balm tube to be wonderfully smooth and hydrating on my lips. I also really appreciate the cardboard applicator – it worked perfectly and is recyclable, which aligns with the store's clear commitment to sustainability. Many of their items were refillable or featured reduced packaging, a detail that resonated with me.

My absolute favorite purchase, however, was the sugar scrub. I used it in the shower this morning, and the texture is simply divine – light, almost whipped, and a little truly goes a long way. The scent was gentle but surprisingly long-lasting (definitely outperforming some bulk shower steamers I've bought online!). I used it everywhere, even my heels (getting ready for that River weather!), and it cleaned, smoothed, and hydrated my feet without feeling oily or greasy. (As a Death Investigator, I must include a friendly reminder to always use caution with anything potentially slippery in the shower!)

Beyond the fantastic products, Bumble Bee Soaps seems to be a truly conscientious business. They emphasize natural ingredients and eco-friendly practices, which is something I deeply value. Their dedication to creating high-quality, handcrafted items really shines through.

Bumble Bee Soaps is an incredibly cute, small, and local business of Winona. I went there a few days ago, but I wanted to use the products I purchased a few times before leaving a review. To begin, the service was impeccable. I was greeted immediately and was shown around the store and its various products. All soaps had a tester bar so that customers can experience the scent before buying, and all sugar scrubs had testers as the owner explained, “textures are very important.” As I shopped, I asked about the story behind the name (as I LOVE bumblebees) and was told that the owner’s son had inspired the shop name! At the end of my shopping experience, I had purchased the coconut citrus sugar scrub, a lavender vanilla bar soap, the sandalwood and jasmine bar soap, and an exfoliating pouch to store your bar soaps in. As someone who is very particular, I have adored these products. The sugar scrub is by far the best scrub I have ever used, and I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that. Because of the scrub, I was able to achieve the cleanest shave I have had in a minute. My legs were left very smooth, and the scrub wasn’t too abrasive as some are on my sensitive skin. My only complaint is that I didn’t buy two! The bar soaps have been lovely as well. I was a little nervous that the soaps would leave my skin feeling waxy, which often causes my shaving razor to catch, but I was pleasantly surprised that the soaps did not do that! They have been incredibly moisturizing, and the gentle scents don’t overpower and cause headaches. While I personally didn’t purchase any of them, there were also a couple bar soaps designed specifically for the face. I no longer reside in Winona, but I will be stopping in the next time I’m in the area!...

My son and I had a wonderful experience visiting Bumble Bee Soaps while visiting Winona. I waited to fill out the review until we tried all the products purchased. The bars of soap- Cucumber Melon, Aurora, Whiskey with the soap bag scent of the soaps were perfect you could smell but not overwhelming, in fact the scent lightly lingers on skin. My son really likes using the soap bag to help preserve his soap. I will have to go back to get one. The bamboo soap tray works well as a soap dish so my soap does not sit in water. Wish I lived in the area to do the soap making part, but finally the cucumber melon lotion bar comes in a screw top container and in solid form so I can take on the plane or it will not open in my purse and leak out. The lotion is made with beeswax and feels great on my dry winter hands. Thank you to the owner who came out and explained everything to us and answered our questions. Great...
