Friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy, and great customer service.
A year ago, I was looking for my first handgun, I visited a different store in the area first, where the salesperson tried to sell me everything from tiny 22 to a Judge. I researched one model, which the sales person had told me he’d give me a great deal on, only to find out it was known for having a lot of issues (which explains the “great” deal I was offered). Disgusted, I searched for a different store and found The Armories.
They are now my go-to gun store in the area. When I first walked in and mentioned I was looking for my first handgun, they asked if I had a preference between semis or revolvers, I said semi, and revolvers were never mentioned again. Already this experience was different than other stores who had tried to sell me everything that goes bang.
Over an hour, the guy proceeded to pull out numerous different semis for me to hold as we narrowed down the grip size and weight that felt most comfortable. Finally, I was left with two choices, a S&W with interchangeable grips to fine tune the size, and a P320 (which I ultimately chose). Never was the guy pushy, trying to sell me any thing in particular, and was clearly excited to be helping me.
Three months later, I walked in to pick up ammo and the same guy who helped me purchase the 320 walks over and begins asking how it was working for me. That, right there, highlighted their quality of service to me.
Earlier this week, I purchased a revolver, picked it up and took it to the range. However, I experienced a problem with it. The range guys said I should ship it back to the manufacturer, but I took back to the Armories. Their gun smith took a look at it, worked some magic, and returned it back to me, with no cost out of my pocket since I purchased the revolver from them.
Their customer service is the kind that we only dream companies had now-a-days. Shopping there feels like sitting down with a bunch of friends and handling each other’s firearms. They are worth stopping by if you’re interested in firearms, even if you aren’t actively...
Read moreEdit: 7/8/25 I just spoke with the Area Operations Manager, Matt Brett. He was very apologetic and wanted to gather more details about the incident. I told him that I understood the protocol, but the deliver was unacceptable from one of its employees. He said that he would make sure that this information was communicated with the staff at this location. In our current climate poor customer service is overlooked. However, based on our conversation I believe that this business is working towards making adjustments to provide excellent customer service.
Original Post: This afternoon my family (husband, 2 children, and myself) entered this location to purchase guns for our home. One of the employees began to engage in conversation with my husband.
Another employee quickly approached the counter and told us that we had to leave because he smelled marijuana when we entered. He did not take into account that another gentleman entered after our family. My husband actually held the door for him. I believe the gentleman left before we did. I am not sure, because I was flustered from the employee's accusation.
We have never attempted to smoke marijuana. We were not told to come back another day or given an apology for not knowing if the "smell" could have come from the other gentleman.
I am writing this review because the employee was out of line and wrong. The employee seemed on edge and we initially thought he was joking.

Read moreA friend recommended the Armories in Winter Garden. I went in looking at what they had in optics. Lucky for me the store was pretty quiet. Max spent an inordinate amount of time with me talking me through the various offerings. I was very impressed with his product knowledge and more so by his willingness to spend the time answering questions. I was also very happy to see they had a very broad range of red dots and holographic sights IN STOCK. Took me a few days digesting the info I gathered and went back some days later knowing exactly what I wanted. Edison helped me, met the price I was willing to pay, and my new Trijicon was ordered that day. When it came in, some 10 days later, I had them mount and bore sight, which they offer at no cost as I bought the scope from them. Got a call from Dave, who I assume is their smith, some days later, saying his bore sighter broke and it would be an additional week or so. So be it. Said he would let me know when it was done. I went in the following week to check status and they said it was ready. Took it to the range and I was better than "on paper". Obviously, Dave did a good job. My only disappointment in the whole experience was not getting a call letting me know that it was done and ready to be picked up. All in all, 5 stars. Excellent experience. I'll definitely be back...
