Let me be clear: I love tacos. I could eat tacos twice a day, every day, and I wouldn’t feel at all inconvenienced by it. I try as many taco places as I can, especially hole in the wall, non-chain places, and I’m always looking for a new spot. This is officially THE spot. Probably my favorite place to grab some quick delicious tacos in the state of Florida, and you can bet I’ll be back here on the regular. If you’re in the area and you wanna eat some good Mexican food, don’t even bother scrolling through google maps to see if any other place sounds good. I’ve tried them. This one is better. Come here, thank me later. My only complaint is they use a lot of styrofoam for to go items, and styrofoam is the worst. I recommend the Mexico City Tacos, five tacos, three different types of meat, and you can fix them up how you like at the topping bar. Get the corn tortillas, they recommend them, and they’re right. They’re excellent, and they hold together better than some corn tortillas you find elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and hit them up.

Tacos were ok.. they were regular size tortillas and a good price but more expensive than some of my favorite places. The carnitas were nice and juicy so was the suadero, etc. however the carnitas was kind of dry. The tacos had different quantity of meat. Some of them were generous and others were very rationed. They need to make it equal. They already charge different prices for each one so minus well make them all with the same amount of meat. The salsa was good but not as good as the ameca one in OBT. They didn’t have the quac salsa and their salsas were not very spicy. I understand you have to cater to the baby crowd but you should at least have one spicy salsa. The service was aight. Lady didn’t seem very happy because I was looking at the menu for a minute since I never been there. I only had the tacos so can’t comment on the rest. I would come here if I was in this side of town. But I wouldn’t come out of my way for this one.

This is a must try! I tried over 6 different types of tacos and a smother enchilada and they were all fantastic. The salsa/toppings bar is where it's at though and really separates this place from others. The food came out hot and these are some of the most tasteful tacos I've had. I tried the Carne Asada, Chicken, Al Pastor, Pork, and Ground Beef. If I had to pick a favorite it surprised me but it was the pork. You could just tell it was slow roasted to perfection. Now on the salsa/toppings bar, WOW! Of course there's onions, peppers- jalepeno and green, and cilantro. What really makes this great is the salsa. I don't remember exactly but I think there was more than 7 different types and all spice levels. I loved each of them for different reasons. My favorite was the Aji Verde, perfect spice level and I also really enjoyed the Habanero. My wife preferred the guacamole sauce with green tomatillo salsa Trust me and try this place.

Update after visiting this restaurant over 2 weeks ago and the owner answered to the following review with a auto generated answer the following: "They will take my review into consideration"? Here is my review I posted about 2 weeks ago: My review is fair due to the nature of eating in this establishment twice with my family to establish, "Was the 1st time just a bad day in this establishment a fluke after we were recommemded to this establishment"?. Today we ordered the same plates we ordered the 1st time we were there. 1 order of chicken Tacos (three come in a plate)with rice and beans, 1 order if ground beef Tacos (3 come in a plate) a Mexican burger (with fried ham, cheap ground beef) avocado and 2 cheap buns with over fried French fries and 1 vege burrito (beans, beans, and rice). The two Taco plates came with yellow rice that had no taste. Both Tacos were just very bland with just one tortilla in each taco and the meat, no toppings. (All the topings were in the middle of the restaurant and it was dirty and messy. The huge serving spoons in the sauces, cilantro, sour cream, and vegetables were either dirty or some of the spoons and the handle were inside the sour cream and some of the sauces. The cilantro was black and old. The burger meat was grey and had black spots inside the meat. The ham was over cooked and the bread was stale. Now the vege burrito had refried beans that had no flavor and the rice was yellow red but with no flavor and these are the same rice and beans that the Tacos and vege burrito all had, "same critique from all 3 adults" The burger had one bite taken and spit right out because the meat was sandy and disgusting in flavor. Almost $70.00 dollars for these disgusting plates of what I can assume is food in thay restaurant and 4 drinks (fountain drinks). Now we had a better but subpar experience the 1st time and now the 2nd and last time we are coming here is worse. We have been to 1. Agave Azul (Orlando), and also can share the number 1 spot is Border Grill (Orlando) 2. Coyote Rojo (Groveland), 3. San Jose Restaurant (Clermont) 4.Ay Jalisco (Clermont) 5. Agave Azul (Orlando) are all in the order I would classify from 1 being Excellent and 4 being fair. Just in case someone tries to write that I have not been to other Mexican Restaurants and do not know what I am talking about. Also Don Ramons Food Truck (Clermont) has one of the best Food truck Tacos and all of these restaurants / Food truck have moderate prices and great tasting food. Things I would recommend from all of them: Tacos al pastor Huevos con Chorizo Taquitos 4, (Border Grill) has the best juices from Horchata to Agua de Jamica and the owner who's name is Maria is so inviting and humble. All the restaurants especially Border Grill to us has the most spot on Authentic Mexican food, No frills service and just well rounded food and price points. It is a hard No for Taco Norteno. Minus 1 on their food, customer service, cleanliness, upkeep of the restaurant, and quality of food. My second time going here and it just became worse than the 1st time. I always try to give any restaurant a second try but this has been my 2nd worse experience in any restaurant. I could not post any pictures but believe me with my review of my experience. We did not ask for a refund or did we ask for any free...

First time here and I am upset that I didn't find Taco Norteno before today!!!

When I peek at my "to go" tacos, it look basic; just 1 tortilla (keep this in mind for a fact later) and my three meat selections. BUT! It turned out to be a good thing bc I was able to taste each meat in its natural juices.

The carnitas was so flavorful. (I dont remember the menu but if I can get it with rice and beans, Chipotle just lost my business. yum!)

Next was steak and chorizo. The chorizo was a bit salty than what I've tasted at other spots but together with the steaks.Yeah!!! It is a great combination!!!

Now, comes to my favorite of all three meats.... the Al Pastor!!!! It was very tasty that I kept picking and eating it and almost didn't have much left for the taco.

This next fact is a hugh "win", remember when I said "one tortilla" at the beginning? Normally, one tortilla would break apart or wouldn't hold enough and I would end up asking for extra tortillas. NOT TODAY!!! their one tortilla held its own. It didn't fall apart and it held all the meats plus the toppings... Wait!!! (excitement building up....) ... all the toppings you could imagine on a taco were on a full salsa bar!! I can't name all the toppings and sauces bc it was a LOT!!! Even roasted peppers and onions!!!

My taste buds are happy, my belly full, still money in my wallet and licking lips as I write this review. THERE IS MORE... Their "Happy Hours" are from 4 to 8 pm!!!! Two hours longer than most places.

I didn't use enough exclamation points for my excitement of finding Taco Norteno.

The place is casual and basic but the staff was very friendly, and patience with me bc I wanted to order everything on the menu and had lots of questions... Also, did I mention, I walked in 15 minutes before closing? yup, i was "THAT LAST MINUTE" person and still got great food and received friendly service. 😋 😊 ☺️

Got Steak burrito 🌯 for my man... His review with photos will be posted after he stop licking his fingers and rubbing his belly at the same time. (Sorry, I was in a daze from the aroma of my food, I forgot to take photos.) 😅

I do recommend this place and yes, I will be a "regular" face, at least...

I have been coming to Taco norteno since before their current location. The restaurant becomes recognized by the fresh ingredients the portions the staff and the word of mouth. I've come to the current location. And have noticed that the taco size has gotten smaller. Whereas before the taco size was regular. The taco size that you serve currently is street style. Which is much smaller than regular size. The current size that you have does not hold the meat properly and breaks apart. Some things are not meant to be changed. One of the staff said that the size was fine. Please don't change a tradition that you have created. People have been coming and enjoying the size and portions that they can remember since the beginning. The saying is if you feel that you're paying more and getting less it's not worth it. I love your staff I love the food I love the fresh ingredients. Please go back to the size that is supposed to be regular. Think about the hungry stomachs that you once fed the word of mouth that you have created by your portions. When we feel filled the food and portion we remember we...
