Came to visit for the first time yesterday whilst on holiday. I am a massive fan of yarn and have a huge collection of hand dyed artisan yarns at home so wasn't expecting to find alot here if I'm honest. How wrong I was! I was totally blown away by the choice of yarns, colour and fibres that are not possible to get in my wildest dreams in the UK. There was so much to look at I didn't know where to turn next! I even managed to bag some fibres to spin when I get home from one of my fave yarn brands. Donna was super helpful and such a warm atmosphere in the store it was so lovely to look around at my pace and just take all the amazing colours and projects around the store without feeling pressured to pick something. Charmed. It is always an enjoyable experience shopping at Four Purls Yarn Shop. Whether I visit their friendly, spacious store or shop online, this family owned gem has a broad and unique selection of quality yarns and fiber crafts. The owner, Laura, has a sharp eye for curating tasteful yarns and patterns. She shares her love and inspiration for fiber by coaching and teaching classes, as well as designing and developing her own patterns. Not only do they have a beautiful selection of yarns, they offer their own line of dyed yarn called “Emma’s Yarn”, (created by her daughter) that is gorgeous. I have not been able to visit the store yet, but I have received incredible help over the phone. Today Mary Anne put together a total of six different color combinations (three colors each), sent me pictures, and gave me her opinion when asked. I had a similar experience a week or so ago (not sure who helped me that time). This kind of customer service is above and beyond, and anyone who has ever ordered yarn online knows how difficult it is to see what the actual colors are and how they will work together.
