Saint Matthews Thrift Shop & Gift Shop — Local services in Winter Haven

This is a wonderful thrift store. I cannot come as often as I would like to because I live so far away, but the times I have been I have really found a lot of things and spent a bunch of money on so many great items! They had great sales when I was there and got half off. I love the Catholic Charities because they really help the needy. I always support the local Catholic Charities (church of the good shepherd thrift store) and the Agape food Bank. I’m happy to know they have such a great place in the original Publix Supermarket building in Winter Haven. I will encourage all my family and friends to make their donations to this location from now on. The only negative thing I can say is that I have had two of your workers (one Staff and one Volunteer) be rude to me. I did not let this effect my rating of the store because I know that everyone has bad days. I see most of the people there interacting like family with the Customers. The overall experience in this store is very good. I will of course be back and recommend this place to anyone...

I really like the store overall because it's clean and has a nice big fitting room. The biggest problem is they don't have a restroom.

It used to be a Publix supermarket so I know they have restrooms somewhere in that huge place. I hate to spend money at places that won't let me use the restroom. I'm older and have to pee a lot so really need a restroom. I had to drive down to the Popeye's to use theirs. Not how a store should be run. Isn't it Florida law that a business, open to the public, is supposed to provide a restroom?!

Besides the prices are really high for a thrift store. The employees are nice enough. BUT not having a restroom is a deal...

I'm only giving 1 star because that is the lowest there is no 0. I ask the young man at the front counter when I walked in was there certain things on sale? Because alot of resale shops on certain days have items on sale he rudely said no. Then I walk all the way in and see women tops are 50% off. They have some items that I could have used but the prices are way to high. I thought this was a place we're people who are struggling nowdays could go and get shoes clothing and other items at a reasonable price this is not the case. The prices are way to high I won't go back. And isn't this a religious...
