This company is unprofessional, untrustworthy, inconsistent and could really benefit from spending a bit more money on the training of their staff. I have been in a back and forth battle with crunch for over a month now regarding my cancellation. I have been told two different things in regards to what the cancellation policy is and am now being charged still, for two months worth of memberships fees that I should not be charged for.
When I first inquired about cancelling my membership, I was first told that I needed to request the cancellation at least 10 days before your payment so that the payment wasn't in a pending transaction status. I came in on January 2nd to cancel my membership, with that knowledge. My payment was not set to come out until the 15th or 16th so I was confident that I was in compliance with the policy.
On that day that I went in to cancel, I was told that I needed to request cancellation 30 days before my payment date and that I would be charged for January. I requested to speak with a manager because I had planned my budgeting of this transition from Crunch to my new gym perfectly so that I could keep my word on my membership and keep my budget in check. The manager, Becca Allgood, actually made a statement that it was odd that I was told it was 10 days because that's such a random number but that she would speak with the higherups and see if she could get the fee waived. She said she'd call me that Friday, which never happened.
I am now receiving emails stating that my membership dues have not been going through. This actually happens to just be a matter of timing because I had to get a new card recently but the issue is I should not have a balance due whatsoever because I complied with the 10 day notice requirement. I came in at least 13 days before my payment was due.
The people responding back to me in email have expressed that the notice requirement for cancellation is indeed 10 days before the payment is due ad not 30 days yet still they are saying that I owe, as if they are not reading the emails or looking at my signed cancellation document dated for 01/02/2024. It's absurd. There should be no argument. I should not be in debt to this company. I did what I needed to do, their front desk staff is clearly not trained in their policies nor are their managers and this company is clearly another greedy large corporation out to rob people of money that is not owed to them.
The dishonesty, greed, slimy attitude, lack of transparency and accountability, along with just the poor level of customer service altogether makes this a gym I will never ever return to and make sure everyone knows how...
Read moreCrunch Winter Springs has completely exceeded my expectations and is easily one of the best gyms I’ve ever joined. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and motivating. The staff is incredible—Paige is always so helpful and approachable, taking the time to answer questions and make sure members feel supported. Julian, the general manager, sets a great tone for the whole gym with his professionalism, positivity, and genuine care for members. You can really tell the team here goes above and beyond to create a great experience.
The facility itself is spacious, modern, and impressively clean. The staff stays on top of sanitizing equipment and keeping the locker rooms tidy, which makes a big difference. The range of equipment is top-notch: plenty of cardio machines, a great selection of free weights, resistance machines for every muscle group, and functional training areas. Even during busier times, I’ve never had an issue finding what I need for a solid workout.
One of the highlights for me has been the group fitness classes. The instructors are full of energy and make every class fun yet challenging. Whether it’s HIIT, yoga, cycling, or Zumba, there’s always a class to keep things fresh. I love how inclusive they are too—you see beginners and seasoned gym-goers working side by side, and the encouragement from both staff and members makes the whole experience even better.
What really sets Crunch Winter Springs apart, though, is the community and vibe. It’s a truly judgment-free environment where everyone feels comfortable working toward their goals. People are friendly, encouraging, and it’s easy to feel like you’re part of something bigger than just a gym. Paige and Julian especially help foster that sense of community by being present, approachable, and genuinely invested in the members.
On top of all that, the pricing is very reasonable, and the value you get here is unbeatable considering the facilities, classes, and support from staff. The hours are convenient, making it easy to fit a workout into any schedule.
Overall, Crunch Winter Springs is a fantastic place to train—clean, affordable, full of equipment and classes, and staffed with some of the best people around. With leaders like Julian and supportive staff like Paige, this gym is in great hands. If you’re looking for a place that combines quality, affordability, and a welcoming environment, I can’t recommend Crunch Winter...
Read moreAs a busy mom of 4 kids (ranging 4-17) and running two businesses, I found myself struggling to lose those last few pounds and get back to my confident weight after having my youngest son. I joined Crunch in August 2024 and did the initial personal training assessment because it was cheap and I figured “why not?”. Elijah was the one I got assigned to and working with him has turned out to be one of my great 2024 decisions.
His positive energy is very contagious and he never makes me feel like I’m “not doing enough”. To elaborate… as a working mom, much of my life is riddled with the guilt of never feeling like I’m doing enough in any area of my life. I’m sure every mom can relate. All I’ve been able to manage during this particular chapter of my life is getting to the gym once per week for my 30 min weekly session with Elijah and sticking to my meal plan. He never has once made me feel like I’m letting him down for not getting into the gym more. If anything, the opposite. He is always the hype man, telling me I’m crushing it and showing up for myself as much as I can and that is something to be proud of. As a busy working mom, that’s what I need to hear from my trainer to keep me focused on the positives instead of going into a guilt spiral and giving up on it altogether because I can’t do everything I should be doing in a “perfect world”.
To my shock, I’ve actually hit my long term weight goal within 5 months of working with Elijah. Back in a size I never thought I would see again and feeling super confident. I firmly believe it is due to his positivity and motivation that doing what I CAN is enough and something to be proud of.
Now that the weight is off, I’m keeping it off even through the holidays. Im making healthy 80/20 lifestyle choices and focusing on my mental health. We’ve pivoted to focusing on flexibility and shoulder stability in our sessions (my weaknesses) and I look forward to getting into the gym more in 2025 now that I have the bandwidth.
Thank you, Elijah, for being my cheerleader during a time when I just really needed someone to tell me that the “best I can do” is enough and that I absolutely CAN and will hit my goals. It made a huge difference in my life and I believe you have an incredibly bright future in this industry and will help so many people...
