BEWARE OF SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!
I lost the key to my 4-wheeler. I took it to Country Cycle in Winterset, IA. Up to this point it had 146 hours, and ran exactly as I expected. I asked them to service the machine while we waited on the new key to ship. A few days later they called to say it was finished and I could come pick it up. I got home and ran the machine for about 20 minutes before it made a horrendous sound, so I loaded it back up and took it back to Country Cycle in Winterset, IA. This is where I met Rusty, and expressed my displeasure with my experience thus far. He said he would look in to it immediately.
...3 weeks later...
Rusty calls and informs me that "a nut at the base of the motor was loose, and all the oil pumps out when you run the machine. The damage caused inside motor will cost $1900 to fix."
Rusty and Country Cycle accept ZERO responsibility for this damage.
The 4-wheeler ran fine with no leaks, and the motor had oil it when I brought it to them. 20 minutes after their service department released it to me the oil is gone, and the motor is destroyed.
Rusty's response? "Those motors are mounted on rubber so there is lots of vibration...must have vibrated loose...these things happen, no way was it our fault."
They accept ZERO responsibility for the damages to my now worthless machine.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND COUNTRY CYCLE SERVICE...

I asked him for the out the door price so I could get my loan. He gave it to the very first time & a great price at that. I have purchased several items from County Cycle with great prices & friendly staff. I've also had my bike serviced there several times (just maintenance) with friendly & knowledgeable staff that took care of everything I asked for. Read moreSpoke to Eric in Service on Tuesday and Thursday before Friday appointment. On Thursday had to roll back my appointment by two hours and asked if I should reschedule or come ahead. Eric said to come ahead, was told prior to arrival that service would take 2-2.5 hours and I would be waiting. Technician said that the service would be 4 hours. They lowered shop time to 3 hours but make sure everyone is on the same page with expectations and deliverables to void...
