Bought a remote controlled reversing relay from them some years ago. I already had something I had custom built, but didn't have a remote that would be ideal in my application. Product worked great for about 3 years, except for you having to be no more than 6' from it with the remote. Could be a bad antenna? Or interference as they said. Whatever, ok, barely works but does work. Then it stopped working completely. That's fine, for the price, 3-years being used probably every other month isn't bad and of course nothing manufactured is perfect. I ordered a replacement, knowing a upcoming project was going to need it more than normal, and put it in. Worked just like the first one for about 10 -20 uses. Just over a month later, it only worked in one direction. I emailed the person who had helped me before, Steve. Nice guy and helpful before. I tried tapping on it as he suggested as they thought it was a contact welding together. Makes perfect sense, but if it already welded, even if it does break free, won't it just do it again soon? Regardless, didn't work. Radio silence from then on once I asked for an RMA, including an email to customers service that returned nothing. So I left a phone message. I then got a call back leaving a message from Steve saying he tried responding via email and kept getting the email back undelivered. Never had that problem before, but ok. You know that, why wouldn't you call me then? Either way, he says since it worked when I received it, their warranty won't cover it not working after that. So basically, it only has to work once and then it's no longer under warranty. He suggested the motor was maybe pulling too much power. It's nameplate is 1.2 amps at full load, and my tech measured it to be far below that as it is used with a relatively low load. This relay is rated at 20A/1HP and should not have had a problem. Maybe I am out of line? Which is why I wrote everything, so you can decide. But in my opinion, you stand behind your product. If customers application overdrawing power becomes an expensive issue, add a fuse to the design. All too bad, because this company has some really cool stuff at great prices. I really want to like this company. But at this point, I would suggest finding a competitor. I can't say with any experience that any other competitor would do better, but I am now actively searching for a competitor to learn that for myself. Or, I will go back to using my own custom relay and just adding a cheap remote to it...
Read moreI purchased a T-SC-12V 40 amp variable speed control from this company to control a Minnkota 30 amp trolling motor. Straight out of the box it would cut the motor on and off but would not vary the speed of the motor. It would operate at full speed only. I returned it and they sent it back saying they had replaced the micro processor and implied that I had damaged it. I installed the repaired controller and it worked properly. Went out fishing with it and it worked beautifully for one hour and then stopped varying the speed, working only at high speed. I emailed them about it and they have totally ignored me, not responding at all. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM TO YOU. I am giving them one star because the review app will not let me...
Read moreIt was so very nice to talk with a person that could think for themselves and not read off a pc screen. I was fed up with dumping 500 on our gate opener ever time we got lightning. I finally found GAMA on the net. They knew exactly what I wanted. It was priced reasonable/ got here within two days and works great. I was surprised how well-built it was and I nearly fell out when I saw the sticker made in America. Thanks Michael...
