Horrible experience, and we didn’t even end up getting our tattoos. We made an appointment two weeks ago with the owner for two flash tattoos. When we arrived the receptionist was unhelpful and not welcoming at all. He made it seem like he didn’t know why we were there. We waited 15 minutes past our appointment time before watching two artists go outside to smoke and call the artist who we had made our appointment with. They came back in stoned and told us “he forgot about your appointment. I guess I’m just gonna do it instead I’ll go set up”. ⚠️BEWARE ⚠️ Who you let tattoo you Matthew Thornley from hidden gem rushed my tattoo and cut corners saying it was my skin tone just to end up doing mostly shading to the whole piece smudged pigeon holding a soggy flag. The detail is nonexistent, the linework is uneven, and the “We the People” scroll is just a blob. The blimp has no depth, no life. Just flat, crooked, and embarrassing. Hands down the best tattoo shop I’ve ever stepped foot in, the staff makes you feel like you’re at home & not intimidating like other shops I’ve been in, I’ve literally been there 5 weeks straight,I consider Jahmol Garcia (@mzndrztood_ink on IG) a little brother that I never had, his work speaks for itself.
