Married in 2008. Took dress in to have top remade from tank to sweetheart neckline and shortening. Tried dress on for length with their shoes, then purchased the shoes to make sure the fit was right and also purchased a new bra and crinoline. When I went to pick up, dress was not shortened, but the bill was $200 higher than quoted for the shortening. She insisted I wore different shoes initially. I showed her my receipt for the shoes, and she STILL insisted I wore different shoes. When I finally got the dress the day before my wedding, the crinoline was hanging with it and had about 3 inches of dirt and tattered material at the bottom. I was entertaining people who traveled for the wedding at the time, but sat down on the steps and cried. Luckily, a friend offered to take the crinoline home, wash, dry and press it for me. I called Tami's days after the wedding. The same woman answered and insisted the crinoline was new. I lived 2 hours away and the wedding was over, so I didn't pursue it further. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone who can't afford to lose the time or money. It was a...
Read morePosting from my husbands account for this so I can write a review. I called ahead to Tami's to see if they took measurements and how much is cost. I needed to get myself measured accurately because I am in a wedding that is having custom dresses made. When I arrived I was barely spoken too and was treated as an inconvenience. When Tami finally came to measure me she didn't seem very precise so I hope my dress ends up fitting. She took the measurements in less than a minute and told me since I had so many (6) it would cost more. That was after I was measured. My husband proceeded to pay with his credit card and was told they do not take cards and we needed to pay with cash. Normally we never have cash but by chance I did that day. However, their sign says they accept credit cards and does not state there is a minimum purchase amount to be able to use this. I will not be...
Read moreI absolutely loved the dresses we ordered through Tami's, however I was less than impressed with every other part of dealing with this business. Our bridesmaids were told one thing and that never came through. One girl was charged twice for the second part of her dress that she told Tami she paid for. When we got home, her husband looked and sure enough they had already paid. Then my mother's were told their alterations would be free because we got all the dresses from her. My mother in law got hers free, however she made my mother pay twice because the first time the alterations never got done. Oh and she had both of the mothers dresses for 8 months and they still were not right when we got there June 12th. I do not recommend her for your wedding needs. She is not organized and she does stick...
