We actually ended up here by necessity, not choice, but next time it will be on purpose!
. It was Easter Sunday and we had planned to go to a different Chinese restaurant, But upon arriving, we found it was closed.
By googling nearby Chinese restaurants, we found Chuy’s. I called and they were open, so we headed over.
We did not know what to expect and agreed that if we didn’t like the atmosphere or whatever we’d get takeout, or home and order a pizza.
As it turned out though, we were very pleasantly surprised.
The place was not crowded at all, being a holiday Sunday. It was clean. Service was prompt and friendly. The food came quickly. It was hot and delicious. In my ratings, I gave atmosphere of four instead of a five because there’s really not any atmosphere. It’s just a big space with tables and chairs. No real ambience or decor, but it was fine.
We had the Mongolian beef, the breaded almond chicken, and the General Tso’s chicken. We each had an eggroll and those were very good also. There was plenty of white rice to go with each of our dishes. We also tried the Crab Rangoon and although it was yummy, there wasn’t a lot of filling in it, but it was hot and crispy and what filling was there was very good. Everybody loved their food and we agreed that we would return another time.
Another nice bonus was without even asking they bring a pot of tea and a cup for everyone at the table upon sitting down. I didn’t actually look at the bill to confirm, but I have to believe that since they bring it without you asking.
Whether you’re going for dine in, or take out, I think that you will be satisfied and pleasantly surprised with the...

I had the beef and broccoli lunch special with a Coke in a bottle, and let me tell you — this place is a hidden gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The beef was tender, the broccoli perfectly crisp, and the sauce had that rich, comforting flavor I crave in a good stir fry. AND PRICED AFFORDABLE.
But what truly blew me away? The cleanliness. I could literally eat off the floor — and I mean the bathroom floor. That’s how spotless it was.
To top it all off, I got to meet the adorable little boy named Chuy, who the restaurant is named after! He’s the cutest little “CEO” in town and totally stole the show in my photo.
Friendly staff, excellent service, and great food with heart behind it. Support this local treasure — and don’t forget to...
Read moreThe staff is friendly and the establishment is clean. My 2 stars is for the food. I ordered the mongolian beef and a wonton soup. The soup tastes alright for the broth, however, there is no filling in the wontons. They wrap them in a way to make them look full but theres nothing inside despite being advertised in having fillings. My main problem is with the mongolian beef. It is 80% onion with very very small pieces of beef. For something that costs 10.90$...I was at least expecting a bit more protein. I had hoped that maybe all the meat was at the bottom. Sadly no. Just more onions primarily. Also asked for it to be spicy. Hands down the sweetest mongolian beef ive ever had. Very sad as this was my first trying this place for dinner. Will not be...
