Harbor Freight — Local services in Yakima

I was pretty excited to check out the new HF. To start with, parking spots are tiny! My truck barely fits in one, but fortunately it wasn't busy on this particular night that I stopped in. The store itself is clean and bright. Per normal, prices are cheap! I came in with some coupons and was looking for a moving blankets (Always check for coupons before you come in. There is ALWAYS a 20% off coupon). They were out of the moving blankets that I came in for. After finding an employee, they called someone to look for more. After 10 minutes, the employees found some and we were on our way. My typical experience has been pretty marginal service, but the prices are low enough to keep me coming back! In my opinion, there is no better place to get hand tools. Motor tools are hit/miss, but they're cheap. low prices + low quality service + good tools = a good...

The Yakima location has twice told me they have specialty product in stock only to tell me it's not there and they can't sell me a comparable product for the same price. First time was a 20 ton press, the second time was an impact wrench. They quoted eight wrenches in stock but told me they were out when I went down there. From now on I'll ask them to put some effort in and physically check cause their inventory specialist is terrible. I asked if they could sell me the $114 earthquake for the price of the $94 earthquake cause I only drove down after I was told it was there. The employee proceeded to calculate the 20% off of $114 price like that was an answer to the problem (Same thing with the press). If you call ahead don't expect them to responsibly aswer your question or to care about your time they've wasted by telling you what an inventory...

I would give this place less than a star if I could the harbor freight on 1st street in Yakima wa needs new management the workers are nice, but the managers are very rude and put out a better than vibe I asked the guy kinda short kinda bald guy with the really tight pants if they carried a particular tool and he was super rude so rude that I have been thinking about it all day I was asking a question and he just walked away . Might never go back there again cause of him ..he needs to check his attitude or go work at a prison.. customer service is not his thing . And the blonde girl that follows him around also has a better than attitude...
