Ro’s Shirts By the Shore — Local services in York

First let me say I’ve been vacationing in York for over 35 years. I not only shop @ Ro’s in York but I’ve also stopped into the other locations @ Perkins Cove.

Please know the day I first walked in I was greeted with a smiling woman neatly hanging up merchandise. I have been shopping for my family for Christmas gifts every year.

There was a day I actually took upon myself to help others with their choices. I being a frequent customer for years I knew the quality of the products. I have even called and met owners husband off season to shop.

I can’t say enough about the owners and their quality year after year. I live in Massachusetts and one day I plan to no longer be a visitor but a resident. I would love to be part of the Ro’s family and putting smiles of the visitors who find that perfect Maine sweatshirt or keepsake.

I want all to know I have purchased clothing jackets, sweatshirts,t-shirts etc.. and actually years later these became hand me downs for my grandsons. The quality is amazing!

Please read all the reviews as I’m sorry to hear the upsetting experience some have had and though I don’t condone or disagree with the shoppers. Sometimes we as consumers only leave feedback when it’s negative and I feel reading I felt the need to give my honest feedback.

I love York Beach and have a little brick front of the Wine-Y Sister if you’re interested in whether I am leaving a sincere review.

I would not recommend going to this store in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit. I walked in looking at the shelves of T-shirts and the worker in the store proceeds to tell the lady she was checking out that she needs to come over and help me and my friend with the shirts, leaving the lady at the counter just standing there. I felt very uncomfortable looking through the shirts as she kept telling me the sizes and telling me I don’t need to look through all the shirts because I can just look at the colors. As I tried to put a shirt back that I didn’t want she grabbed it out of my hand and said “give me that” when I was just trying to be nice. Her attitude is not appropriate for a shop and she should not be working in retail. She made me leaving the store in anger and frustration while I’m trying to have a good vacation...

The customer service at Ro’s Shirts By The Cove in Ogunquit, Maine is horrible. The lady behind the desk was extremely pushy and rude. She repeatedly told us what shirts are which and would obsess over how we fold the shirts. I do not recommended this place to anyone. I was minding my own business shopping and she decided to be all up in my way, even making it clear what size I was looking at as if she is assuming what size shirt I am comfortable in. I even had to tell her that I was ready to pay, then she acted all suck up like her act all payed off. The store is great and has great prices and clothing but I would NEVER go back. I left in disgust and anger when on vacation you’re supposed to feel relaxed and at peace. Maine is supposed to be “the way life should be” but this is not how costumers should be...
