I love Blueberries and bought Organic Wild Maine Blueberry Jam at Costco to give it a try. Item# 1028191. When I got home I opened the jar and went absolutely psycho in a good way because I was so excited to see all the beautiful tiny blueberries packed in the top of the jar. I tasted it and started asking everybody to try this amazing product which when first opened can be considered blueberry caviar with all the beautiful tiny berries packed in the top of the jar. I hurried back to Costco and bought six more jars for my pantry Just because Some items at Costco that you fall in love with can one day disappear and hard to find again. Fast-forward a couple of days and once I got past the four maybe 5 teaspoons of tiny blueberries in the top of the jar the whole tiny berries disappeared, and it was a smooth jam. I immediately opened another jar and scooped out again about Four or 5 teaspoons of tiny blueberries, which appear to be stuffed on the top of the jar over a smooth berry jam. Once you get past The tiny blueberries in the top of the jar there are no more tiny blueberries To be found, except a smooth blueberry jam. Is it a good blueberry jam? Yes but not better than other blueberry jam that I’ve tasted. The thing that I like most about it was the blueberry like caviar in the top of the jar, which caused me to hurry back to Costco to buy more because I thought it was going to be a full jar of whole tiny blueberries throughout the entire product. Obviously, this was not the case once you got past the few spoons of tiny blueberries at the top of the jar, which once again was only about four no more than 5 Teaspoons.
I have five unopened jars that I returned the day after I discovered that the tiny blueberries was just used as a topping on top of the smooth jam in the jar.
Once again, it’s not a bad tasting jam, but if you’re expecting a full jar of tiny blueberries as when you first opened the jar a few teaspoons later you will be immediately disappointed.
I give five stars for the tiny blueberries on the top of the jar and only three stars for the actual smooth jam underneath the tiny blueberries. As there are a whole bunch of blueberry jams out there that are just as delicious. Whether this is a marketing ploy, I consider it a bait and Switch as I expected the whole jar to be whole tiny blueberries not just a little bit...
Read moreWho doesn't love Stonewall Kitchen and their related brands. Pricey but usually the quality is there. Shopping in the sale corner is fun and doesn't break the bank as much as their full on high retail prices. It's the staff working there though, while some (most I would say) are perfectly pleasant and helpful they have a few super grouchy staff where the customer is always wrong. An older woman wrung me up at the register and when I looked at my receipt I noticed a hand soap that I got from the sale area that didn't ring up correctly charging me full retail price instead of the sale price. When I told the woman that it didn't ring at the sale price well, wow, how many questions did she ask to try to prove me wrong and that it was me who was mistaken. "It's not marked on sale" (none of them were), "did you get it from that area over there" (yes I did) "Are you sure" (yes I'm sure go over there and look, there are many more like it) "Are you certain someone didn't place it there?" She just wanted me to be wrong in the worst way so she didn't have to deal with it. It seemed to take an act of congress to get it resolved bringing in the top brass store handlers and 10 extra minutes at the register to fix the error. The woman who had originally rung me in still seemed annoyed with the customer (me) when it was clearly an error on the store's part, not mine. Just seems strange that an outfit like Stonewall Kitchen would have staff at their retail store that treat customer this way. ...

I am posting this here since the online shopping has only 1 review so nobody will read this there. I am a 12 year customer of buying their products online. That has ended with my recent experience after talking to Jordan, a very young "deaf" manager this morning. I am a 76 yr old retired consumer who has splurged buying their products. I buy in bulk to save on the shipping.I just received 4 lemon curd(my favorite item) and was incredulous that they expire in 13 weeks. Jordan informed me that the shelf life of this item is only 6 months-nowhere does it say that disclaimer when you go to buy it-furthermore she said they ship the jars that will go bad 1st since they don't want them to go bad in their warehouse. What about at my house?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus since these were bought online that I am to incur the charge to ship them back when this is ALL their mistake. Are you kidding me?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In this age where living is so costly-to be treated like this as a loyal customer is totally unacceptable. I truly hope you think so too and think twice before you buy from them again. My google reviews are rare but those that I have written have been seen 1000's of times-I hope this is not...
