I felt kind of lost when I first arrived at this place because there wasn't any obvious location to enter for breakfast so I chose the most obvious location and it wasn't the place. So I listened to quite a few people talking and followed the noise and found the location.
The food is your typical breakfast fare for a cafe with single items to grab and go but I choose the country breakfast with your choice of two eggs and protein with hash browns and again your choice of bread.
I chose two eggs over easy with a sausage patty and an everything begal.
The surprise of the meal was the wild blueberry jam that was placed with my food. Very good and easily an option to buy it afterwards.
The place seemed very clean, with large portraits of various items to suit the place well. Very bright and inviting
There is also space outside, if the weather permits, to eat and set up your laptop to whatever your hearts desire.
I really enjoyed my food and atmosphere with the only downside being where the actual location is to enter and...
Read moreWe stopped on the way home (in Maine) for a quick lunch. It was a Thursday on the 16 of Sept and still very touisty. Thats great for the business and state but lunch was slow. The counter service would work fine with lighter crowds but was difficult under crowd pressure. The help was friendy, however, and did the best they could. The food we ordered was supposed to be quick but the crowd slowed service down but was still tolerable. We ate outslde and when the food was delivered we could not hear the server annouce our name. We finally saw it waiting. The food ,itself, was ok. Soup was hot, salad chilled. Typical luncheon fare. Our lunch cost just shy of $27 for a cup and bowl of soup, an ice tea, and green salad to go. Mkt for lobster roll $35 typical cost for summer touist. The flower garden is gorgeous and the the store is well stocked. Its not a cheap place to be sure but products are all high quality with a lot "Made in Maine". So, take exit 7 off 95 for some gift shopping and simple lunch, easy off and on the highway....
Read moreI ordered a grilled cheese on gluten free bread because I have celiac disease. I ordered and waited at least 45 minutes to get 3 cold slices of cheese on wet bread. I went to the server and asked politely if they could remake it for me. I went to my seat and waited. I could see the chef laughing in the back about my order, not even 2 minutes later she walks out with the same meal and throws it on the table. This is a huge embarrassment for this company because they do make incredible food, it’s just the people working there that need to be changed with real chefs. I was extreamly excited to eat something gluten free because it’s so difficult to find anything good that’s gluten free, so this is a huge let down and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. 0.5 stars out of 5.
