Fact Check: Trump’s claim that Iran got $150 billion from the United States.

We are unfreezing $150 billion of Iran money that we have kept from them for years. We are not paying the Iranians with American Money.

Something tells me you already knew this. Should you have been ignorant of that fact, I hope that you do your own research into it, find out that it is true and then proceed to inform everyone you have told this lie to and anyone that repeats it to you.

Was the deal great? Maybe not, but it was a much better deal than going to war against them or discover that through inaction one day they would have their own bomb. Having diplomatic relations doesn't assure oversight but makes it a lot easier. We can send people there, we can oversee their known facilities and have a better chance to discover any facilities they may have hidden. If we are locked out all of that would be harder.

As far as Holocaust deniers, I am not sure that is an official position of Iran or the current administration. However, there are plenty of non Iranians holding that silly notion and we are not rounding them up and putting them in jail.

As far as disappointing our Israeli allies, a hostile Iran is a perfect tool for the Israeli right wing to keep scaring their population into re-electing them over and over. Maybe this will contribute to giving voice to the large percentage of Israeli citizens that disapprove of the many human rights violation of their leadership and take back their country to more sane levels.

We can agree to disagree on the finer points of the deal. But I hope that after you do your own research, armed with this new information, you'll at least stop claiming we are giving money to the...
