Well I always would brag and tell others about how much we save on our groceries from veggies, snacks, bottled spring water, meats, and everything else in between but the prices from just this time last year and this year have increased quite a bit. Just a year ago I would spend $72.00 to $75.00 per week and compared to other stores for that amount of money I pretty much could fill the entire cart with groceries but I have been noticing that the prices that I'm paying for it have gone way up. I have receipts to compare from last year to this year. So to compare I went next door to Winn Dixie and your bottled spring water is exactly the same price as theirs. Your fries in the frozen section have increased to just one cent below theirs. Frozen vegetables I was paying just a little over a dollar for are now $1.99 a bag. Frozen meatballs a bag are now $4.99 same price as Winn Dixie. Your bagged skinless boneless chicken breast is $ 6.99 just like Winn Dixie.y prices have increased very comparable to the prices of Winn Dixie. For that much I might as well shop there and have them bag my groceries and see if I need help carrying my stuff out plus I can use the grocery bags over , for small trash bags, and recycling too. I've shopped save a lot many years now infact so long that we only had one location in Zephyrhills and it was in the old U Save location by McDonald's.. not sure why you are raising prices that much but you've pretty much forced me to shop around now. being we pay cash out of pocket for groceries we have to save where ever and whenever we can. Infact my wife did a little shopping the other night at WM I very much dislike Waly World but she bought a lot and spent less there than Save A Lot. Why such a huge increase guys? Going out of business or something like that and trying to recover ? Not saving much at all. Just left there spending $35 and change and only had a hand...
Read moreIf this location is the norm then Save A Lot's has upped it's game since I was kid. While off-brand items still populate the shelves, keeping prices on the low low, I feel the selection has grown several fold from that of years ago. This location met all of my personal criteria for price, selection, customer service, cleanliness and quality. Two reasons keep this from a five star rating and number one is a bit of a catch 22. With aisles ending so close to the check out lanes, the lines feel cramped...which is a byproduct of the aforementioned selection expansion. Customer service picks up that slack though, keeping the lines moving, no fast pass required. And the second small criticism is a bit petty in that these discount stores will never have a deli or bakery or other "perks" of their bigger cousins in the grocery game. That said, they do have fresh produce to greet the customer off the rip so truly no big gripes on my end..I will and...
Read moreZephyrhills Florida has two Save-A-Lot Stores, my wife and I shop at both stores all the time depending on what side of town we are doing errands. Yesterday I bought sharp cheddar cheese (8oz.). Date 08/08/2024 that turned green mold on the slices the next day. My wife was frying up burgers the next evening and noticed the mold on the cheese, we were having cheese burgers, while the burgers were cooking I hurried to the closest save-a-Lot to exchange the cheese. The cashier said you can exchange it, so I got a new pack and was leaving the store when the manager came out of her office, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience she said next time go to the other save-a-Lot store alright. I call the nasty customer service especially in this economy when so many businesses has failed. Thank you very much if the owner addresses this rudeness by your night manager at 9:10 PM...
