Terrible excuse for a homestay. Nobody welcomed us. Our tour guide from the trek Vu (who was excellent) went into the kitchen and got us tea. A chap came to show us to our room which was not cleaned after the previous guests. There were no towels or toiletries. Sheets had hair and stains. We went back to the front of the house to find someone which wasn't easy. When we found the guy who took us to our room we offered to show him the mess he put us in but he declined and offered to move us to another room. We looked at two others that were only slightly cleaner. We brought this to his attention and he said, "I know". We chose to take that as a poor interpretation of what he really meant, which couldn't possibly be that he knew and chose to sell those rooms anyway. We took the better of the two rooms. We tried to move one of the two beds away from the wall so that we could access the bed from both sides, and found a flood under the bed. By this stage we couldn't be bothered moving again. We were tired after a trek. The offer to help cook dinner was a non-event. Breakfast the next morning was rubbish. Nobody from the property spoke to us the entire time. I think these people just missed the point...
