La Dao Homestay — Hotel in Ta Van Commune

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Sapa. The room was very clean and had a nice bathroom. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel only has 4 rooms so it felt like a very personalized experience. The spa was a great experience and the attendants were very helpful. One of them alerted me to a problem with my back. The staff don't speak much English so be prepared to use a translator (I don't understand people who complain about this - either you want an authentic experience in rural Vietnam...

Great view and massage, but the walls in the Homestay are very thin. There are TVs going in rooms on both sides of us, and people talking, blowing their noses etc which is quite loud in our room, so it's not very peaceful. Glad I...
