My favorite park in the city. We often get cappuccinos & snacks at Boulangerie Jarry and then walk down to the park for a little picnic. There are lots of very different areas - the large pond, with ducks and red winged blackbirds and a big fountain in the middle; a huge grassy expanse, where people often gather to fly planes, sunbathe, or let children & pets run around; a large playground area for kids; and an excess of sports areas. There's a large sports complex and a public swimming pool bordering the park as well, and a splash pad for kids (though it isn't always up and running). Between all these spaces are plenty of treed areas and grassy hills to lounge on!
It's my little happy place in the city. I would highly recommend a visit :)

Beautiful park with different areas designated for various sports, basketball, football, skateboarding/BMX/Scootering…,Volleyball/Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Kids/Toddlers/Babies playground, Baseball.
The paths are great both for walking, running and biking. The grounds are spectacular for hanging out, picnic, playing catch, frisbees, setting up kids camp, or flying kites.
There are picnic tables where families can set up a portable bbq grill. The vibes of this park is so lively and everybody is just having a good time.
Dog friendly park; And also a great venue for outdoor celebrations. The park is very well maintained.
Good parking area, little puddles during spring and maybe a little rooster tail during summer.

It's now become a large rat park. Unfortunately, the city of Montreal isn't taking any action to address the problem, so feel free to have a picnic while surrounded by the rats.
Solution I think would help the situation
1. **Habitat Modification**: Reduce food sources and shelter for rats by cleaning up garbage, securing bins, and removing debris and dense vegetation where they might nest.
2. **Encourage Predators**: Native predators, such as hawks and owls, cat, can help control rat populations. Install birdhouses or nesting platforms to attract these animals.
I called the city to make a request for solving this problem, pls follow up with below case reference #: 24-256-382, pls call :514-872-0311

Impressed! I went to this park and was truly surprised by the size of it. It has a lot of nice sports fields (soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball), a huge greenery area, a kids' playground, and a beautiful fountain by the lake. If you are going to this park I strongly recommend you bring a tablecloth to sit on the grass, along with some snacks, and water. You may also consider bringing some ball/games to play with your friends or family as the environment is perfect for that. Anyway, it’s a very democratic place, anyone can have fun! Whether you are a sporty person or someone who likes to relax/stroll, I’m sure you’ll have a great time at this park. Highly recommend it!

I would choose the Chateau lookout instead, if you can only do one, but that requires a bit of a hike, or a lot of stairs! If all you can do is drive or bus, this is right next to a small parking lot, and you get a decent view of the city. Some trees may infringe the view, but it's still an awesome vantage point. Walking? Come up from the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument on Park, and you'll get a liesurely 15-min walk up to this point. It's also another quick 5-min hike up some stairs from here and around a bend to get to the Mont Royal Cross higher up. Great for all hiking levels (just be careful when the mount is covered in ice). The pics are at dusk!

The Belvédère Camilien-Houde is an absolute gem for those seeking a rejuvenating morning getaway. Visiting on a Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised to find an abundance of parking spaces, making my experience hassle-free from the start. As I stepped out of my car, the crisp morning air gently caressed my face, instantly invigorating my senses. The breathtaking view from the belvedere is simply awe-inspiring, offering a panoramic vista that soothes the soul. The peaceful ambiance, coupled with the refreshing breeze, provided the perfect backdrop for a serene start to my day. Highly recommended for a tranquil escape in nature.

Too crowded. people are always there to take photos of the highest point in montreal! gives a view of the whole city. it is very beautiful during sunset or sunrise.
There is also parking in that area doesn’t show up in maps .
Small parking right next to mount royal. Maps really doesn’t show this, but when you come from the other side you can see the parking so that u dint need to walk 1.2kms uphill from the main parking point. Its also metered and charged.

The best view of the city hands down. You need to drive and pay for parking but you won't be there for more than an hour. You walk up a bit and you'll see the crowd of pepl over by the lookout. It's a place you won't want to miss seeing if your in mtl. Explore the inside and learn sbout some of the history which we did. It's nice because this is one of the few things left that's actually free with no entry fees aside fr9m parking. Enjoy!

Beautiful view. Ofcourse with the altitude you feel the nip of the wind a bit more. On such a beautiful day, the walk up is a little more wet than I'd prefer, but all in all it's a beautiful spot whether you're a tourist or a local, it never disappoints. Be sure to check out all the indicators which point to historic and important landmarks/buildings throughout the city! Great little adventure up the mountain for all ages.
