Where to begin Ambience - it's as close to you can get to an Indian setting breaking all stereotypes about cleanliness as well as the overall tone of the place. It's spick and span with a lovely and soothing vibe.
Service - we were a group of 4 people and we ordered a variety of items ranging from dosas to noodles and lassi and what not and each and every one of them was delivered under an impressive time and the restaurant staff , infact 5 of them were available to cater to our needs throughout our stay there.
Food - it's one of the best if not the best restaurant out there when it comes to authenticity and the taste. Whatever we ordered, each dish was prepared up to such a perfection that it felt like being teleported back home just for a quick bite. We had a mutton dosa , vada , masala dosa , chilli cheese dosa , lassi , gulab jamun, tea and we had a lengthy and mind you it was an intense discussion among us regarding which one should be declared as the highlight of the evening (spoiler alert - everyone declared what they ordered as the best one)
Here comes the actual highlight, we were visiting Montreal and are originally from Kingston and our esteemed driver Friend didn't want to drive during the night because of visibility issues and also because he is a nutcase. But yeah so we ordered some takeout for when we reach Kingston but we were in such a hurry to leave that carelessly enough we forgot to actually take it out with us and midway through our return journey the realization hit , soon enough a call was made to the restaurant and they confirmed that we did leave the parcel there. We asked for all the possible options and if at all a refund was on the cards , the staff on the other end just asked for a minute to consult with the manager and within two hours a refund for an amount of 40 CAD was processed via interac. So, thank you for the lovely food and the amazing service as well as the care, rest assured whenever we would be in Montreal we are bound to make a trip to...
Read moreSituation: Uncomfortable seating arrangement in an almost empty restaurant.
I visited the restaurant around 9:15 PM, and to my surprise, it was nearly empty, with only a few tables occupied. It was a Thursday, so I guess not many people were dining out. My partner and I requested a table, but the host insisted that we sit at a two-person table that was barely 6 cm away from another two-person table where a single male diner was sitting.
Now, imagine this: you're out for a nice dinner with your partner on a beautiful summer evening in Montreal, and you're forced to sit so close to a stranger. It's uncomfortable, and there’s no sense of privacy. I don’t quite understand the restaurant’s thinking—especially when the place was nearly empty. The restaurant’s closing time was 9:45 PM, so it was clear that the chances of new customers coming in were slim. By the time we left, the restaurant was empty.
If the restaurant were full and there were no other seating options, I’d understand. But when it’s practically empty, and you still feel pressured into sitting so close to someone else, it just doesn’t make sense. Dining out isn’t just about food; it’s also about enjoying the atmosphere and having some privacy, especially when you're with a loved one.
I’ve been to many restaurants that understand the importance of maintaining privacy and atmosphere. Often, when I’m dining out as a couple, they’ve offered us a four-person table to ensure we have space to enjoy the meal comfortably.
If you're not particular about your privacy and don’t mind sitting next to strangers, then I suppose this place might work for you. As for us, we value our space and the experience as a whole. Yes, the food was fine, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the uncomfortable...

During our visit to the vibrant city of Montreal, we discovered this incredible South Indian restaurant, and it became a highlight of our trip! If you’re looking for authentic flavors that transport you straight to South India, this place is a must-visit.
We started with their Idli Sambhar – the idlis were soft and melt-in-your-mouth perfection, paired with sambhar that was rich, flavorful, and comforting. The variety of chutneys served alongside added a burst of flavors. The Vada was another standout, with a perfect balance of crispy exteriors and fluffy interiors – truly addictive!
The Mysore Masala Dosa was the star of our meal. It was delightfully crispy, filled with a spicy and tangy potato masala, and served with aromatic sambhar and chutneys that made every bite a heavenly experience.
The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home.
