Went on a Sunday afternoon .Walked around. Was with my mom, aunt and niece. My aunt bought a doughnut for $1.25 ,$1.25!! That was too expensive for a freaking sugared doughnut. My mom bought some coffee near the donut lady and there price ( $1.50) was good but their coffee was amazing so it was worth the price. My niece and I bought a Piña Colada Frappe for $5 each topped with whipped cream and my aunt a Mango Frape ($5) also topped with whipped cream . The cup I believe is 20oz so it was worth it. We went to 1,2,3 Pescao which is a restaurant that had live music well kind of. It was equipments and two young adults singing which they did a great job. For kids this place is a go to, they have swings, a train and a nice playground for them. The bathrooms I recommend bring your own . There was no paper toilet in none of them .

Enjoyed our time here. We walked around admiring all the improvements that have taken place here, painting, and cleaning of this area, and the businesses that are now open since the pandemic. (COVID). We had dinner at DePapi Bar/Restaurant and enjoyed the food, a parcha mojito from Mojito House that was very good, and we were enjoying the Kareoke, but had to leave as it started to rain. We look forward to returning.

Sooooo I got stung by a jelly fish here but they live in the ocean and were killing all their natural predators so I can't really blame anyone, especially this beach. I've been going there weekly and never had problems. There's showers, you park right on the beach, there's a restaurant right there, with a bar. Its a local haven.

This was my first time here, so I cannot provide an accurate picture of how the place looked before. At present, there are a few businesses open, but it looks like Hurricane Maria and the pandemic took a toll on the area. However, you can still take a couple of pictures and have a bite or something to drink.

Right on the Arroyo town sea shore. "Malecon" is the local name for it. There are kiosks that you can eat, local turnovers, drinks, and much more. Really good ambiance for the full family. You can find the remains of the local train use back in the 40s.

I came to this place on September 20. Very first time here and the experience was amazing. First of all the facilities looked very clean and maintained. They have Kiosks were they sell food and beverages. The food menu is diverse and the drinks too. Food quality is good and the drinks were made on point. Prices very affordable. The Kiosks are within short walking distance from the beach so you can go back and forth without any issues. You can put a hammock if you want and there are watersports for an extra cost in a designated location. There is also a volleyball court and a kids playground. There are nearby restaurant that offer good food as well. Since I went on a Friday and Summer already ended here it was pretty much empty.
The beach is extremely quiet and the waves break so far away that you can't even see them. You can walk far from the shore and still you won't be fully submerged. The only thing I could say it can be improved is lifeguards and staff presence, I couldn't see anybody from the government around (not saying I was not feeling safe because we were ALL THE TIME) but this could boost confidence specially from tourists.
I also went again September 22 with a group of family members and the experience was consistently the same so this is not hit or miss, it will be great for anybody.
It's great that the government and local Municipality recovered this place after Maria because this is a hidden gem that many people don't know about and they should definitely take a look at.

Spent a lovely day here. We wanted to experience the Caribbean side of PR. The Atlantic side was too rough to swim. This beach was recommended by one of our tour guides who said he lived in the town of Patillas. The water was very calm, no waves, but there was seaweed not far from shore. No chairs but there were painted cement benches. We found a nice one under a palm tree. There are food kiosks nearby but most weren’t open. We went instead to a restaurant up the street (Mar de la Tranquilidad) and got takeout from there. There were lots of cute stray dogs running around, not aggressive but friendly. There are bathrooms on site. Didn’t see showers. The beach itself isn’t very wide or super sandy. Still, it was a nice day.

It was nice there a young man Puerto Rican man had a hat made of Palms I asked a young man where I could get one and he said the man was running around selling them I asked him how much he said for $2 the young man then took the head off handed it over to me and said you can have it the time I would gladly pay him For it he insisted on absolutely. I was thankful and blessed to see that there's still some good people out there my hometown where I was born Patillas so I am sending blessings to this young man and friend that he was with

I loved it. I'm was an impromptu stop when I saw how close we were to the water. There are bathrooms, free parking, shelters for picnics and plenty of eats on the weekend. No waves so nice swimming. There is a lot of sea grass along this beach but that's what makes it great for manatees. Just find a spot where there is a break in the grass and get on in! Plenty of benches and palm trees to sit in the shade. A friendly local couple was happy to provide insight and a warm welcome.

About two to three hours worth of hiking trails. We visited on a Tuesday, which was ideal because the kayak and bike rentals were closed, so there were only a few other nature enthusiasts walking like us. Good for bird watching (we saw a pied billed grebe, a bananaquit, and moorhens. Great to admire native trees as well . Also, a bit of WW2 history, with the rings of two pillboxes. There's also a display of the equipment used to drain the wetlands in the past. Signage is in Spanish only.

A must visit when you are in the area. If you enjoy de outdoors, nature, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking; you need to come to this place. The view from stop #10 is amazing! In addition to the Morrillo, an observation bunker that goes back the World War 2, you can see Playa Punta Santiago, Cayo Santiago (Monkey Island) and Vieques. The staff at the info booth are super friendly. Highly recommended!

Alright for a visit. We spent a little under 2 hours hiking the route here. We saw many salamanders, a few stray dogs, fish, turtles and enjoyed a few ocean views.
Tips:
-You need about 2-4 hours to enjoy the space
-If you want to kayak or paddle board you must come in the morning, they close for the afternoon
-The hours on google aren't totally right. Came on a weekday and they close the park at 3pm

Odd hours, but we parked along the road and got in at sunrise to check for some birds. We saw quite a few species here including: osprey, magnificent frigatebird, mangrove cuckoo, Puerto Rican spindalis, Green-throated Carib, and many more. The WW2 pillboxes and associated buildings were amazing to explore. Overall hiked about 3 miles at this location and would recommend a visit!

The Humacao Nature Reserve, , is good for hiking and kayaking. If interested in the latter, you can rent kayaks right there. The hiking trails are ideal for novices with well-maintained and marked trails and mostly flat terrain. The area is particularly excellent for bird watching with a wide variety of birds calling this place home.
