Terrace 360° Lion (Bar&Restaurant) — Restaurant in Berat Municipality

I came here for lunch after skipping breakfast to catch the 0830 bus (van to be correct) L1000 for Berat. The trip took 3hrs driving along valley floors n sides n occasionally crossing between valleys. Very scenic esp racing the river for a bit of the way from Gjirokaster. Have decided to stay high up here in the Old Town. I cannot get enough of cobblestone paths n stone buildings. Only problem is dragging a noisy trolley bag up here which is a test of ur strength n fitness. Lunch here is a real treat for its amazing views as well as the very excellent pork n cheese roll, the equivalent of what we call Veal Cordon Bleu in Oz. The House Red by the glass was excellent as well but in hindsight I should have gone for the white. Yeah, a rather hot day here but thankfully there's a nice breeze up here. First go to Villa Elmar, which is easy to find on Google maps. Continue up the street until the next right turn (There will be a sign directing you to a Guest House Bujtina). Then go up and look for a steep set of stairs to the left. At this point you will see signs directing you to the ethnographic museum or a restaurant with a veranda. Keep following them all the way up until you come to a split where you can go to the left to a restaurant OR up and through a hotel to tjis specific restaurant. Congratulations, you have arrived! Lion Rooftop is one of the nicest spots in Berat, especially if you're looking to enjoy stunning views over the old city. The view alone is worth the visit – you can see the beautiful rooftops, mountains, and sunset all in one frame.

The staff are incredibly hospitable and make you feel right at home. They're friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food is also really nice – fresh, tasty, and well presented. A perfect mix of local flavors with a modern touch.
