Te Baçja — Restaurant in Tirana Municipality

Seeing all the 5 star reviews we were eager to try this new place, but I must say we were disappointed. It has a good location and potential but I didn't like what they had done with the place. Its name in albanian means a garden or courtyard surrounding the house, but they had closed it with a roof and doors ruining its potential and having no connection with the name. Didn't think much of the internal decoration either. We were the only table that evening which was a little odd given the busy location and being a weekend, perhaps due to many people being on holiday but made you feel a little uncomfortable. Service was good, waiter was polite and informative, dishes arrived quickly enough. We had an extraordinary surprise here at Te Baçja! We came to Tirana for the first time, where we stayed for eight days. We wanted to try traditional food, fish and seafood. We came here a few evenings, it was a real pleasure. We tried both their hot and cold appetizers, plus sea bream, sea bass. Incredibly tasty everything! I rarely leave reviews, but my experience today was exceptional. My mom and I were absolutely amazed by the food here. The service was wonderful, but the food was the real highlight. Everyone must try the shrimp with ouzo – it's easily one of the best appetizers we've ever had, deserving a 1000/10! The atmosphere is also incredibly relaxing and perfect for a delightful meal.
