I contested with the Bank. Showed them photos and got a refund. My bank dealt with their bank with the evidence because these are liers and thieves. You can't sell rotten things and get away with it.

So keep your receipts, photos, videos etc. If seller doesn't refund the contest with the Bank. --++-+------------------- I got food poisoning due to stale parathas.

After complaining woman manager at the kitchen told me take down this review and then she might refund me. See screenshot posted.

I refused to take down the review. They sell stale roties and parathas so beware. You'll see a lot of reviews mentioning the same. ---------+ Don't buy parathas after 9.30am. Shamelessly they told me, they make parathas in the morning and then only reheat and give it to us. So you'll be getting stale parathas. -------+-++-------- Stale roties and packaged food. Based on multiple experiences, I don’t trust packaged food at this store. Most of it was expired. only food court is ok but there also, you can’t see rotors so they give stale roties.

I get food from here as it’s a pure veg place. Despite paying the asking price, for some reason roties are never fresh. Bought organic flavored chakri sticks and as soon as I opened it smelled rotten and spoiled. Shameful!

Workers aren’t pleasing either.

Why nobody ever picks up the phone here?!

Very rude customer service especially on the phone.

Apart from other issues mentions other reviewers, their samosas size and quality has gone down. Size is smaller than a teenager’s fist and cost $1.41.

Person at the door has no clue whether there is another door/ window for food counter and sent me anyways. Young fellow at the counter is useless as well. Told me there are no Samosas available and upon asking said it’ll be 20-25min but I saw filling the tray before I left within 3 min or so.

I usually...

Apni Mandi Farmers Market in Sunnyvale is a treasure trove of Indian delights, and I'm still reeling from the wonderful experience I had there! As I wandered through the market, I discovered a small cafe tucked away in the corner, and it's here that the magic happens.

The cafe is a haven for anyone craving classic Indian snacks - think crispy samosas, sweet jalebis, and savory batata vadas. But what truly sets it apart is the self-serve station for complimentary hot tea. Yes, you read that right - FREE TEA! You can grab a cup, fill it up with steaming hot chai, and head to the outdoor seating area to enjoy your snack and drink in peace. The outdoor seating area is a cozy little nook that's designed to make you feel like you're sitting in a bustling Indian market. The sights, sounds, and smells all combine to transport you back to the streets of India. As I sat there, sipping on the expertly brewed tea and munching on a freshly fried samosa, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me. It's a truly magical experience that's hard to put into words.

For anyone who's from India or has spent time there, this market is a must-visit. The combination of classic snacks, free tea, and outdoor seating area is a recipe for nostalgia and delight. Even if you're not from India, the market offers a unique cultural experience that's not to be missed. Imagine sipping on a cup of hot chai, surrounded by the vibrant colors and lively atmosphere of an Indian market - it's an experience that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

The market itself offers a wide variety of fresh produce and Indian specialties, but it's the cafe and outdoor seating area that truly make it special. So why not grab a cup of chai, pick your favorite snack, and sit back to enjoy the experience? You...

Food 20+ Items on the menu. Ranging from starters, Indo Chinese to entrees. They have daily specials, lunch/dinner thali, breakfast. They have fresh roti for 5 or 10 pack. Mango Lassi, chaas, achaar, and chutney you can buy from the mini fridge. You can order the food in a small, medium, or large containers. Containers are wrapped in plastic wrap for a more secure togo experience. Everyone that I saw had on gloves when handling the food.

You can buy 10 different types of paan from here. Right next to the paan section there is free chai. Right across from the paan station. There is a sweets section 20+ different types of sweets/pastries Couple boxes to choose from if you are planning to give it away as a gift.

Before you enter the grocery store you can see a big yellow pani poori stand! Mint, Green Mango, Tamarind/Imli, Anar and Khaatta Meetha flavors to choose from.

Place is packed all the time because…. they’re 24 hrs!! The grocery store is more spread out with several aisles to shop from. But the food ordering line can get a bit long and congested. Parking isn’t too bad, closer you try to park more packed it can get. Grocery store is part of a shopping center with numerous other establishments sharing the parking lot. There are two restrooms inside the building. Outside there are several tables with tents.

Staff that’s taking orders are friendly and try to be fast!

Overall. Food that I have gotten (5 pack roti + potato curry) has been fresh, and clean. Many options to choose from and it’s part of a grocery store. Worth stopping by. You’re bound to buy something. Clean, organized,...

Indian stores in the Bay area have not heard about customer service and Apni Mandi is no exception. They all think once you buy an item from them and walk out of the store, they are in no way responsible for it. Recently I bought a set of 12 knives from apni Mandi. When I went home I noticed that there were only 11 knives. Somebody had stolen one knife from the set. I was in a rush and did not notice it. As soon as I reached home, I noticed it. I immediately called the store and explained the situation to them. They said the manager was not working that day and asked me to call the next day. When I called the following day, a very rude manager said she can't help me with it and said I should have checked it carefully before buying it. I bought it as a gift and unfortunately I was stuck with a gift which was already opened. I checked again in the store after a few days and there are other packages in the store which are already opened and with missing items. If you ever have the misfortune of going to this store, be very careful to check the packages. If not, once you buy anything in the store, you are stuck with it no matter what. They are basically pirates selling stuff to you. They do not care about customer satisfaction, all they care is selling things to you no matter what condition they are in. I was terribly disappointed and will not buy anything from them. I noticed the name of the knife set and they do to customers what that name suggests.

I bought haldiram cocktail samosas from apni mandi - 2 boxes with 75 each, and opened the box within 10 mins of purchase. There was visible mold in both boxes. Printed expiry on box was for 2025. They did accept the return, luckily I found the receipt. But I am so concerned about buying any frozen items from stores like these now. I have stored food items for 1-2 yrs in freezer and never ever saw mold . And haldiram is an extremely reputable brand, known for quality. I think apna bazar or it's supplier did not keep the food frozen at all times . I suggest everyone to inspect their food closely , and keep receipts around. Btw, the same day I had first bought two boxes of same item from Karthik(another store whose owner is same as apni mandi). Their samosas also had mold. But much fewer pieces had mold (the ones on the bottom) and we fried the ones on the top already. Once we found the mold, we obviously discarded everything, and got refund from Karthik, but we wasted half a gallon of oil, and the time to return and go to another store (apni mandi) on the day when we had a party. We had to order food from a restaurant at last min because apparently this item was moldy across multiple stores owned by apni mandi and we obviously did not have the time to arrange from another place.

Fun place to find snacks and groceries. The line can get long, there are many choices. We shared a veggie pakora and a couple of samosas. It came with chutneys. The green was really spicy. The items were tasty. Even the samosa was nice enough for my parents who tend not to like spicy foods. They also appreciated the tamarind sauce. Service was nice and efficient. Another time we visited, I ordered from the menu, they said "10 minutes." I was a little disappointed when the other items, just fried, were included but they were not crispy anymore. Perhaps give the customer the ready items while they wait for the rest of their order. A couple we sat with shared their jelabi, it was not freshly made. It did not pop with a sugar burst on your palette and crunch between your teeth. Had a snack recently. Samosa and a pastry with veggie. Service was helpful and kind.

Update- customer service has been improved and very nice people. And in the below post the car was some other random customer and not the owners car. Appreciate for keeping the price low to start with. I like the food served over there too. ************ 1 point is too much for this store. They have no idea what a Customer Service is. It has happened with me a couple of times now that I have been waiting in a line to order food and they will take the order from a customer behind me and even the customer has no manners. She wouldn't even tell them that there are people in front of her. Anyway, today I went there to buy a milk which was always $4.49 and today it was $7.49 and when I asked them about it, they said their manager has raised the price for that. The picture I have attached is the way they park their car in a NO Parking/Handicapped spot.

Shocking Discovery: Rusted Metal Piece in My Subji I made a disturbing discovery today (12/04) when I ordered a combo meal consist of rice, vegetable subji, chapati, and a choice of curry. As I was eating the veg subji, I bit a rusted metal piece. I immediately lost my appetite. When I brought this to the staff attention, they offered to replace the dish. However, it took them a while to decide on a course of action, ultimately removing the suspicious subji from serving to customers. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done. The lack of quality control in the kitchen is alarming. If you still plan to eat here, I advise you to inspect your food carefully and be prepared for any consequences.
