From the bustling streets of Buenos Aires emerges a culinary gem that has effortlessly captured my heart - Bao's Kitchen. Led by the unparalleled Meilin and her dedicated team, this restaurant encapsulates a dining experience that feels like a warm embrace. It's not merely the delectable dishes that beckon one to return, but the genuine camaraderie and welcoming ambiance that truly sets it apart.
Each visit feels like a reunion, a testament to the genuine warmth and hospitality that Meilin and her staff exude. I've been privileged to dine at countless establishments, but Bao's Kitchen has a unique charm that makes me feel at home, time and time again. Buenos Aires boasts an impressive culinary scene, and yet, Bao's has quickly ascended to the top of my list, becoming my sanctuary of gastronomic delight.
The food? Nothing short of spectacular. The flavors dance on the palate with a finesse that showcases the passion and expertise behind each dish. But, let's not forget their impeccable wine selection. Each bottle, carefully chosen, complements the meals, enhancing the overall dining experience. As a writer, I often seek serene havens that inspire creativity, and Bao's Kitchen, with its tranquil atmosphere and thoughtfully designed space, offers just that. The ambiance is imbued with an understated elegance, making it a perfect spot for both reflection and revelry.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, make it a point to dine here. I assure you, every return visit will feel like coming home. And as for me, no trip to Buenos Aires will ever be complete without a stop at this...
Read moreBoa Kitchen in Buenos Aires… it's definitely a looker. Walking in, you're immediately struck by the stylish decor. It's got that trendy, modern vibe, and the whole place just feels really inviting. Plus, the staff were genuinely lovely. Super friendly, attentive, and they made us feel really welcome. But, and this is a big "but," the food just didn't quite hit the mark for us. Specifically, I ordered the Mandarin Chicken, and it was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't that the dish was inedible. It just wasn't… exciting. It felt like it was missing that spark, that something special that makes a meal memorable. The chicken itself was cooked well enough, but the sauce was a bit bland, lacking the tangy, sweet punch I was expecting from a Mandarin Chicken dish. It felt like it was missing that depth of flavor. I was really hoping for a culinary adventure, given how good the restaurant looked and how friendly the staff were. But the flavors were a bit muted, and the presentation, while nice, didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the restaurant's ambiance. It's a shame, because everything else about Boa Kitchen was great. If the food had been as good as the decor and the service, it would have been a fantastic experience. I'd be willing to give it another try, maybe order something different next time. But based on my experience with the Mandarin Chicken, I can't wholeheartedly recommend it for the food alone. It's a beautiful place with great people, but the kitchen needs to step...
Read moreIncredible food, amazing service and friendly owner!!! So happy we found this place after weeks of craving Asian fare, we were conveniently around the area and decided to try it out after seeing the excellent reviews on Google. I had the Niurou mian and the soup is divine! One of the best beef noodles I’ve had in my life and i live in east asia lol. Oil-free, beef is pull-apart tender, noodles are homemade (extremely bouncy) and the leafy veg is fab. Every single parrilla we’ve been to has served us mediocre Argentine beef, so i was so pleasantly surprised to find that the best Argentine beef i’ve had for the past 2 weeks is actually in a Taiwanese restaurant!! The owner is very friendly and super accommodating, lovely lovely person! She even helped us flag down a bus which was about to leave and told the driver where we wanted to go 🥹 Please drop in if you’re around the area for authentic and tasty Taiwanese fare. Gua baos were good too. It’s bigger than the general sized gua bao so you can def share it or have it as a meal on its own. We had the chicken and it was excellent....
