Edison Café — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

It has become custom on my travels to leave my abode and seek a different cafe each morning in search of a new vibe, a different flavor, or a familiar comfort to start my day. I happened upon Cafe Edison and immediately felt a comforting and welcoming vibe. The staff were gracious and friendly even though my Spanish is severely broken. I ordered the Tostada con Palta y Huevo and was not disappointed. The pan was perfectly toasted, the avocado was fresh, creamy, and beautifully sliced, and the egg was served over medium, and exquisitely fried with a wonderfully crisp texture to the edge. The simple dash of paprika reminded me of how I prepare my fried eggs at home. This little subtle touch sets Edison Cafe apart from most. The Cafe Latte that came with the meal was robust yet soft and creamy, and presented wonderfully. I ordered two Vanilla Latte's 'para llevar" (to go) and both myself and my wife enjoyed them finding no need for any sugar. They were so delicious we found ourselves wishing there was more. And that is what makes a perfect cafe, leaving you wanting more. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and inviting with a business-casual lounge sensibility. THE ULTIMATE BRUNCH CAFE! While visiting from Miami I found this cafe near my airbnb and it is by far my favorite cafe/place in Buenos Aires! The decor is modern and cozy.The staff is amazing(extremely attentive)! The music is a vibe.The thoughtfulness and details they put in their cafe/ cafe cocktails(cafe orange tonic with a hint of vanilla is my favorite) and the food is top Tier! The price is very reasonable. If you are in Buenos Aires do yourself a favor and skip the commercial cafes like Starbucks and come here. You will not be disappointed! Wow, I’m speechless. I’m not from Argentina and I wanted to try mate before I left. I asked if they serve it here and they do not, but they were so friendly that they offered some of their personal mate for free! The owner and staff here are so friendly. This was one of those situations that restores your faith in humanity.

I also ordered a sandwich and it was delicious. The vibes, music and atmosphere were on point too.

I can’t promise they will share their personal mate with everyone haha but I highly recommend this place.
