TERRIBLE! More style than substance. The place looks great, all week we were passing by hoping to get a spot in here so were delighted when they had a table free in only 10 minutes wait time.
Firstly, half of the menu was unavailable for some reason, so our choice was severely limited.
It was only after we ordered that we were told they don't accept cards. Now to be fair, some others reviews had stated this so we should have been prepared for this. Still, it's 2019 in the capital of Argentina!!!
Food was AWFUL! I had a large pizza with ham. Dough was soggy and the meat tasted cheap... My partner had the quesadillas, which were bland and dry. All the food was lukewarm and unappealing.
The restaurant looks great but no attention payed to the food. Actually from our seats we could see through a very dirty glass window into the equally dirty looking kitchen.
Had it not been so close to midnight and the chances of getting into another restaurant being slim as many stop serving at midnight, we would have left once we discovered the menu was half unavailable.
Good points: The lady at the door who put our names down to wait was extremely polite and pleasant.
The rest of the staff were indifferent.

Read moreIt was horrible experience in our honeymoon.
We recieved our food very very late, after almost 1 hour waiting. While we waiting, we saw other three tables (who came late) were served their food before us. We talked to server about this, but they just said it will be soon, but didn’t explain why.
They didn’t recieve credit card! They said their machine was broken, but now I noticed that it has been always happened. (Many past reviews in here are talking about this problem.) Maybe they never have any plans to fix it.
We got wrong bills... After my husband went out to ATM to get cash, I found that we got wrong bills. That was not ours! we had to pay $599, but the bill was for other table which says $646. But when I said about this, they just changed bill paper and didn’t say sorry before I express my feelings.
I finally became really upset about all of these. There was only one person who can speak English, so we had to tell only to him. He explained about their situation, but it was too late.
This was our honeymoon in Buenos Aires, but La Hormiga ruined our precious moment in our life and gave us horrible experience.

Read moreI read a review that restaurant doesn't take CC and only accepts Argentinian debit card. Since this restaurant was highly recommended by my Argentinian travel agent and I had cash I went to check it out. It's true, they don't take CC but they did take my American debit card. I ended up eating there three times and they always accepted debit card. The funny part is that they scanned it as a CC and never asked for pin. Restaurant is very popular among Argentinians. Maybe that's why they don't have menu in English. I used Google translate and pointing at the menu to order, but everything ended up well. When I was there at 11 pm, there were about 20 people waiting to be seated. For foreign tourists prices are very affordable. 14 oz sirloin steak with French fries and egg (not enough protein?) , salad, grilled veggies, fried rice with vegetables, pumpkin puree was about $11. For some reason seating outside is not popular and I was seated right away when I asked for an...
