We had dinner at Lupita Mexican Restaurant in Puerto Madero, and it was… an interesting ride. First things first—the service was awesome! Super friendly staff, very attentive, and they really made us feel welcome. Also, the place is gorgeous! Seriously, 10/10 for vibes and decoration. It’s Instagram-worthy for sure.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Or rather… the tiny bites that waved at us on their way to someone else’s table. 😅 We ordered a dish that was $80 USD, and when it arrived, we genuinely thought it was the appetizer. For one person. Spoiler: it was meant for two. We kind of laughed… and then cried a little. Definitely bring snacks if you’re planning to share.
Also, the menu was kind of a head-scratcher. We were expecting real-deal Mexican dishes, but what we got felt more like a remix by someone who once saw a taco on Pinterest. And the food? A bit too salty—like it had just gotten out of a breakup.
That said, we really loved the atmosphere and the service, so we want to love this place. Just hoping they make the portions a bit more human-sized and bring in a few more authentic Mexican options. We’ll give it another shot someday—maybe after a big lunch. Small water bottle for...
Read moreEverything about this place was dissapointing.
for starters the food tasting nothing like mexican food.
they dropped some bread and sauce on the table as soon as we sat down without asking us if we wanted it. I later found out they charged us for two orders of bread and sauces even though we only ate one basket which we didn't ask for.
we ordered their special nachos dish and it was like a tiny basket of chips with two small ramicons filled with guace and cheap cheese.
also the basket had old crusty food on it.
the entres came out and the potatoes and cole slaw hadn't been given even a single grain of salt.
the prices were significantly higher than nearby resturaunts too.
everything was dissapointing. flavors were bad. service was bad even though the place was...
Read moreThe surroundings of Puerto Madero are always spectacular, but if the experience relies only on that... for the price, it is preferable to go somewhere else. Mexican deco, with traditional wrestling masks. The music is very good, modern, but the volume inside is inadequate for the dinner proposal (too loud). Although dishes are well presented, the food itself is not up to the charged price. My vegetable quesadilla had all burned vegetables :(. Service was "diplomatic". The waitress did not explain (or did so very briefly) the content or ingredients of the dishes on the menu or the drinks and beverages when consulted; and when faced with any request from us, her annoyance could be seen. I understand that someone may be more tired at the end of a work shift, but the customer service industry bases its differential on friendliness, of which we found little or nothing. The drinks, again, very well presented, but the content, nothing to highlight. The prices are very, very high for the overall experience. Conclusion: Avoid Lupita until further notice...
